What a despicable, vile excuse for a human being. I cannot muster any sympathy for someone who perpetrated so much hate.

One of the things that really galled me is that while this disgusting no neck swine of an excuse for a human being was spewing his nonsense about gays .feminists and others contributing to 9/11 a gay man gave his life to stop the terrorists from killing even more people on that day on United 93 while this pig was likely sitting at home and stuffing his face which thankfully contributed to his demise... too bad it couldn't have come sooner.

I blame the pagans, abortionists, feminists, gays, lesbians, the ACLU, and the People For the American Way for giving Jerry Falwell a heart attack. My only regret is that he didn't fall on Fred Phelps and crush him to death in the process.

Well, I don't live in the US, so I really can only comment from what I have read. But I guess that the attitude people have displayed in here is exactly what he would have wanted

The idea of 'pissing on someones grave' disgusts me. I could not do that no matter how vile I thought the person was...

It just goes to show you how wretched he was as a person if the good people of the ledge would even contemplate doing such a thing.

And it shows the tremendous impact that the man's vile words, couched in religion, had on many of us. I will never forgive anyone who spewed such hateful words while gay community experienced the horror of the early years of AIDS. I will not wish him peace until he spends a great deal of time on the other side understanding the extremely negative impact he had on this world. And I am disgusted that he is being given nearly nonstop media coverage today that is mostly positive.

There is only a handful of people who I would take time to write negative things about the day they die, but Falwell was pretty damn close to the top.
