OK so Stand Back is one of my favourite songs that Stevie does live. So much energy and such a powerful song. So here are a few live versions I have picked up. If anyone has any other killer versions they'd like to post, feel free.

I love any 1983 Stand Back, especially that Oakland performance. Bobby Hall is cool and love the start of the song.

Does anyone have the Red Rocks Stand Back? Yes you heard me! I love that performance!

To me, the Oakland version of Stand Back is the ultimate version.

REALLY? I thought the Live At The Whiskey Version and House Of Blues version are both better.

Hi everyone! I'm going to give this a try, but please bear with me as this is the first time I have tried to upload anything and share the link. With any luck, I did it right, so cross your fingers! I can not recall who I got this file from, but it was represented to me as the Stand Back from Red Rocks; if I'm mistaken, my apologies. Either way, enjoy!

I am SOOOOOO making a "Stand Back" EP out of these. Does anyone have a good OSOTM tour version of Stand Back?

Stand Back - Through The Years:

1. WH Album Version
2. Live in Oakland
3. Live at Red Rocks
4. Live on OSOTM Tour
5. Timespace Remaster
6. Live At The Whiskey
7. House Of Blues
8. A Day In The Garden

Does anyone have any TISL or Live In Vegas or Melbourne versions they could post for me?

SapphireSister · #14 05-09-2007, 08:43 PM

I always loved the Oakland version. Not only does it have the cheesy 80's synthesizer but she sings it like it's sung on the album. After 83' she changed the melody when she did it live and I much prefer the album version and the way she did it on TWH tour.

Very nice EP.
I think you also need the US Festival version as it is the first live version of it. I'm pretty sure that's the first time she played it live but I could be wrong.
