Back to Joan... personally I think it's complete horse**** that they will not allow someone that has spoken out against the war to come help ease the suffering of those that were subjected to it. One doesn't have anything to do with the other. Long live freedom of speech.

Well come on. Anyone with a shred of sense in their head would realize that nobody was jumping all over Sarah when all of this started. You'd think having been on The Ledge long enough, people would grow accustomed to the snark and sarcasm.

I know! The fact that she's willing to do this for the troops should be proof enough that she "fits". Hell, if they're going to let one 50+ year old hippie chick in to see the troops, then ALL the hippie chicks should be allowed in.

I suppose if I had said "Preach it", or ITA like all of you do, then you'd hardly be able to point fingers, because my coming in and applauding Sarah or agreeing with her is no different than all of you folks coming in with your ITA'S and Preach it's!
Double standard anyone? Sarah felt Jazzy's snark was uncalled for. She has the right to say so..............and I just happened to think she was funny.
You can call it what you want but its still a double standard.

However, I do think what happened to Joan was wrong. She's an icon and for all we know, many a soldier who came back broken may have a different view of Peace.

exactly. I guess since Stevie, as V said, keeps her mouth shut, she's ok. and I understand why she does that and I'm fine with it, but damn. it's not that JB is protesting the war...she wants to entertain as much as preach nonviolence, not anti-Bush or something.
