Maybe she isnt, I dont know. But Im not so ready to lay this all at her feet when the only hard evidence we have of anything is that ALEC left a nasty call.

as for the abuser label, there's more than one phone call to his credit. please see my previous posts. Im sure there's more because where there's smoke, there's fire unfortunately.

On this board, you have never once to my recollection sided with a man. In your case, you did, and that was unfortunate.

As for this case, it has been pending since 2002. Don't you think Kim would have alleged the abuse by now if it were there. She apparently has no issue with using her daughter, so that is not the reason why. And, if she alleged abuse in the court and could prove it via Ireland's statements, the Court would halt the visitation immediately. I say that because it did in this case based on a VM that in no way threatened physical abuse.

As for the set you straight line, what parent has not told their kid something to that effect (behave or else - you better straighten up - we are having a serious talk when I get home, etc. ) in a phone call. I know of none.

Anyway, on to The View.

she HAS alleged abuse. She stated in her court papers that Alec was violent to her, causing her back injury. Im not saying Alec hits his daughter, I have no way of knowing that. But Alec does have a history of physical violence with Kim (and others, please see my previous posts) as well as verbal abuse to others.

by the way: Ive already sent an email to the executives at ABC decrying their willingness to give an abuser a platform from which to excuse his bad acts. What an ass, and shame on Disney corp (whose employees were recently fingered in a sex scandal!!) for allowing it via ABC.

the only ONLY thing we know for sure is that Ireland didnt answer a call and ALEC left a nasty voicemail.

we DONT KNOW WHY Ireland didnt answer the phone. We only have speculation and Alec's spin. Apparently you and others assume Kim is at fault. That hasnt been proven.

No, Ireland has not answered other calls. It is Kim's job as an adult to make sure her child is there for visitation. She cannot unilaterally dishonor that obligation. Why can't you see that?

If in fact that is what she did, Im sure the Court will punish her for it. If however there was good cause or a reasonable explanation for missed calls, then Alec is just barking up the wrong tree.

Again, Alec could just as easily have said: Im sorry I missed you sweetheart, I was looking forward to talking with you. Perhaps I'll try again later, ok? or somesuch. The fact that he didnt is very very telling.

Kim is not responsible for Alec's outbursts. Im not saying Alec wasnt justified in being disappointed or even angry. He should have handled it better.
