i love this thread!!!! i have 1 YSL, 1 louis vuitton, 1 dooney & bourke, and bunch of other random bags that i like to interchange. but the one i use every day is a plain messenger bag that i glued multi-coloured buttons onto and painted with a large firefly and the words "i have no fear, i have only love" in the shape of a heart. if you see a strange looking girl on the streets of NYC walking with it, holla at me!

i have alot of random bags too, generally the hippy style, but my bag of the moment is a louis vuitton speedy 30 w/ wallet & belt to match~ i would love to have a bag from dolce gabbana tho~

I can't afford such nice things... I have a mortgage, and I'm a single income kinda girl.

SO.... I have a little black hand bag I bought for $16.99 (on sale) at JCPenneys. I have thought about splurging... once... but can't get past the "this is half or all of my mortgage payment" prices....

I still love my designer crap, but I shop for it on sale and the vast majority of it was purchased at a huge discount or someone gave it to me. More often than not, I am in GAP pants that cost me about $20.00 each

Geez, why so many purses and bags? Expensive ones too I rather have a nice car and house, some kids and grandchildren to spend my money on. I guess I just don't collect alot of "stuff."

I just had to update my list. I now have a buttercream yellow leather Nine West handbag. It is the new highlight of my life. "How did you land such a bag, Paula, since you're so frugal" you might ask. I got it for $12 (marked down from $58) at a discount store. God, I truly am awesome.

Oh Paula, you are much better than me. I'm carrying the same black Banana Republic bag that I got at an outlet store about a year and a half ago for $20.00. Alas, I should try to find a summer bag. Hmm, maybe I'll use the no-name bag I got for free at Ulta 3 when I made a purchase of men's cologne. It was a $40 value, you know.
