She's a singer/songwriter. Has been covered by several artists (Dixie Chicks, Bette Midler...) but has never hit it big herself. She's fanf*ckingtastic.

Paula, Carrie and the rest of the Patty Griffin fans...just saw that Patty will be on Jay Leno's show April 10th and Ellen Degeneres on April 12. She must be extending her tour because I also saw she will be in the Bay area again on July 24th (clicked on the link in the Lindsey thread about his appearance at a winery and saw she was also listed at the venue.)

Yay! She did I Don't Ever Give Up! Love that tune. I'm hoping she does something a bit more upbeat on Ellen - No Bad News would be great.

BTW - my Tivo didn't list her performance for today, but I'll record anyway. Hopefully today is actually the day she'll be on & they didn't change it on me.

Great performance today on Ellen. You got your wish Paula with No Bad News. I'm thinking after seeing this that Stevie will only sing when she's on Ellen. Not too many guests get two songs. And when they do they rarely, if ever, talk as well.

it was great! i love patty. i've been on the fence about whether i can get to her show on 4/16 but i'm really hoping i can.
