Well, the dress was a thousand times better than last week's. The hair & makeup, however, weren't.

this isn't really related to his performance, but...

blakeypoo why did you wear what you wore last night? even though it solidified to mama what you're working with and that makes mother happy, it made you look like you are the size of a double-wide trailer with some birthing hips on top of that. and please never raise your arms if you're going to sweat so much. it turns mother off.

chriseypoo...keep on doin what you're doing. mother approves.

love,

Jaz Twist

as for the actual performances, they all sucked really, imo.

Anyway, my point is that the only one I got a busy signal for at first was Chris. I also eventually got a busy signal when I voted multiple times for Lakesha. And actually I got weird "your call did not go through" messages for Jordin twice. Hopefully that doesn't mean her line was screwed up and she accidentally gets sent home. Or that they realize her line was screwed up and we have to go through all this again.

^ I vote once for everyone to see if I get through - at 9:45pm, I got through on the first try for every contestant. And that's how I've been voting too - I'm so desperate for good people NOT to get booted, I'll vote for them 10 or 20 times at least. Of course, I'm no match for the jackoffs that are voting for Sanjaya 200 times a night.

I hope that it eventually evens out, like it did with John Stevens (redhead teenager from another season.) VFTW did a good job at keeping him in for a while, but eventually everyone's votes for the good people make up for it. For example, the people who were voting for the contestants that have left (Chris S., Gina) are most likely NOT throwing their votes at Sanjaya, they're voting for others. The smaller the group gets, the more focussed the votes get. Did that just make any sense at all?

I liked her hair. For someone who has a missing neck, she looked pretty sexy with the black dress and messy hair.

As for all you Sanjaya haters, don't forget JLo really likes him too. LOL. I think Sanjaya is more of a performer than a singer and is certainly more entertaining than Bat Boy, Haley Leggy and Chris R (looking inbred).

I don't think singing screechy and hitting glory notes makes you a great singer. I find it terribly annoying. I want a story told and I want to be moved by a singer's voice. It doesn't have to be big and bold and brash and loud.

Which is why Haley, BatBoy, Chris R and Jordan need to go asap. Nothing special on stage with them.

I agree with you mostly on all your points except for Jordin. And it is spelled JORDIN. The only real consistent "storyteller" is Melinda (neckless) Doolittle.
it is not enough to hit the big high notes....You have to TELL THE DAMN STORY TOO! That is why I cannot stand Lakisha. Has anyone else noticed that she NEVER takes the advice of the special guest???? That to me seems oddly arrogant for someone in her position...as if she knows what is best.
I'm sorry...she is no Fantasia or Jennifer Hudson. dead behind the eyes.

Jordin for the win...
Top 2

I'm not really much of a fan but I thought Jennifer Lopez looked gorgeous.
The song and performance weren't half bad either but those dumb S&M wanna be dancers were annoying as hell.
I loved Jennifer's whole look,though -- make-up, jewelry and outfit were smokin'.

Thank God she's out. That little whore.

I love that new JLo song (yeah, I said it) and her hair & makeup were fab. Didn't love the outfit, though.

Can't wait for next week - country music with Martina!

Funny you say that as I thought her performance reminded me of Stevie Nicks performing, say circa HBO White-Winged Dove show. The movement, the stance at the microphone, the intensity. I'm no JLo fan, but she was smokin' last night.

Yes. I think you're right that Sanjaya will eventually go. Probably not next week, and maybe not even the week after that. Phil will be next, and after that, Chris. My thought on Sanjaya is at least he is more entertaining than John Stevens and the other horrible ones that VFTW has had a hand at keeping around.

I too enjoyed JLo's performance last night, and I have never been a fan. I liked how she mirrored some of her dancers moves (when it made sense) without trying to jump all over the stage while she was singing. She was subdued and intense at the same time. And the wind machine/hair/outfit combination was very effective.

It's funny that I haven't met one person yet who is voting for Sanjaya, but yet he will at least make the top 5.

One of my nursing co-workers commenting on Sanjaya:

"He couldn't sing his way out of the closet."
