As soon as Ryan announced the groups, I knew who was the bottom 3. But I really was shocked Gina went - should have been Phil. This just in: Michael Buble's pre-order CD spiked to the #3 Top Seller on Amazon. Yes, it helps to be seen on Idol even if your music sucks. People will buy anything.

Also, don't give so much credit to Stern for helping Sanjaya. Stern is capping off VFTW's wave. Not to mention the media. They're going nuts for him. Sanjaya's phone line the other night was hard to get through all the way up to the end of the 2 hour vote time frame. He's not going anywhere soon. I sure loved it if he upset the finals.

^ Yeah, Howard found out about VFTW & thought it was hilarious, so he told his listeners to vote for whoever VFTW recommended. My husband listens to HS every day - people call in & tell him they voted for the entire 2 hours each week - some are getting over 200 votes in. Considering most people vote for their favorite once, maybe 5 or 10 times if they're really into it, sincere votes are obviously being outnumbered by the joke votes.

And I had never actually heard or seen Buble perform before. Not impressed.

JLo performs tomorrow, so I can only assume she was the vocal coach this week. Yipee. I can only hope they don't force them all to sing in Spanish, ala' her new CD.

i've been hearing the album for the past two months. not going to lie, qué hiciste has grown on me. she definitely sounds way better singing in spanish, imo.

I haven't watched AI this season until tonight. IMO, this season's prospects are HORRIBLE!!!
All have zero charisma and VERY mediocre talent. In fact, the Sanjaya dude sounded just as bad/good as the rest of them tonight! Is this REALLY what the American Pop music scene is about these days? Mediocre kareoke??
For that reason, and the reason that I partially blame shows like this for making music these days have no originality, and lastly for the reason that I'm part of the Howard Stern "vote for Sanjaya" movement, I voted for Sanjaya - 30 times!!

What a ridiculous show.

Well, last night's show blew chunks. Blake was very good. I thought LaKisha was fairly strong - in fact, a little better than Melinda last night. Everyone else - blah. Timberfake butchered "Smooth," IMO. The judges went too easy on him.

And LMAO at Sanjaya's sultry "looks" into the camera.

Not one latin blood up there singing on latin Music week. At least Sanjaya sang in spanglish. That was a real treat. Go Sanjaya! He's not going anywhere this week.

Haley was ridiculous and her facial expressions are kind of scary. I want her to go, but for some reason I think America just really loves mediocrity (and perhaps legs).

Bat Boy was his gruesome self. His song was not a good choice for him. I mean surely no one had any latin vibe, but it was very apparent with him.

LaKisha and Melinda were not as bad as the Judges may want you to think. Not great, but not bad.

Chris Timberfake was so bad. I mean really bad. All that wailing really hurt my ears. Wow is this guy bad (and slightly inbred).

Blake, the underdog, was good. The best one of the night until Sanjaya performed. Go Sanjaya!

I feel as though I'm missing someone. Hmmmmmm.
Oh right, Sparkle. I just don't like her. She's so bubblegum (Judges love that) and her cutesy, perky, spazzy personality really grates my cheese.

I was actually yelling at the tv last night "I hate you Haley!" She looked so desperate with her half-naked prancing and grimacing. Eew. She was horrible. **shudder**

I also thought Lakisha was not bad last night. I think that Paula and Simon were unfair to her.

Jamie, I am so pissed at you right now! If you had been watching the previous weeks, you would have seen that Melinda, Lakesha, Jordin & Blake have real, genuine talent. Last night's show was the most boring by far, and was not a good representation of what they can do. If these talented people lose out to Sanjaya because of this big f*cking joke, that will be a real shame. I love Howard, but he's really screwing with people's careers this time & I think it's bull****. I can only hope that they'll end up with record deals anyway - just be prepared to get stuck with hearing about Sanjaya for years to come.


That being said - I was as shocked as Simon that Sanjaya was actually pretty good last night. Yes, his eyef*cking the camera made me gag, but he was in tune & sang well. Blake was a highlight for me (although I hate that song) and Jordin was fun, as usual. Melinda did OK, but I think she was so uncomfortable with the "sexy" vibe that she played it up too much & it seemed really fake. Lakesha bored me. I've come to really dislike Phil for some reason. Haley's a sneaky little whore - Simon said what I've been thinking for weeks "you can't sing, so you might as well get some votes by showing off your body." I thought Chris was painful - that key change was a mess, I thought sure they'd bitch about it, guess me & Richard are the only ones who thought that.

My guess for who's going? Phil. Maybe Chris or Haley. Although I've heard rumours of Lakesha.
