It'll be same ****, different tour as always.

Perhaps with a slight variation on:

Enchanted
Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
Outside The Rain
Dreams
Sorcerer
Rhiannon (piano version)
Rhiannon (rock version)
Stand Back
Landslide
Gold Dust Woman
Fall From Grace
(Drum solo)
Edge of Seventeen
Rock And Roll
Beauty and the Beast

She MIGHT add in "If Anyone Falls" for a short time.

I'll believe "new setlist" stuff when I see it. Of course, she could also surprise the hell out of us and add ONE song that she hasn't done before but it'll be a cover.

I really don't think Stevie has thought through this stuff enough to say to herself "I'm gonna do SS without LD as a fukc you to my fans". The song is her masterpiece, it did not receive the respect it deserved from the beginning, and she is making up for lost time by singing it as much as and whenever she wants. Which is why it was on CV songlist for a short time.

I will be perfectly happy to see Stevie sing it to us without the scripted turning of mic to express fake anger to Lindsey. Perhaps she'll rework it a bit. The woman is capable of expressing emotion without Lindsey next to her.

I changed my mind. You're my blue green colors flashing, I could never break up with you.

this is exactly what i was thinking. people are reading way too much into this, especially considering it's still a rumor. how is stevie doing SS solo rewriting history? or a f*ck you to her fans? whatever. it's a song.

^^Can you imagine if Stevie read this board?

She'd see we want her setlist shaken up. So she says, hey I'll do Silver Springs, never done that solo before. Then she learns that it would be a middle finger to the fans. Then she says okay how about Talk To Me, that's a fun one and haven't done it since '94. Oh--I won't be able to deliver it and it will suck? Okay. What about WLT? That's always a crowd pleaser and it's been about 10 years. What, Ricky? You take that as a personal insult and will protest through urination?

Well, I'm definitely dropping that tired Dreams/OTR, nobody wants to hear that anymore. Oh, Curtis will boycott the tour?

And thus we get:

Dreams
OTR
Stand Back
GDW
Landslide
etc.

Me too! I got to the point where I was embarrassed for Stevie and Lindsey to feel compelled to do that every night on the dance tour and then for awhile on the SYW tour. I hope she's doing it solo, I want very much to hear her band play the music and see what she's going to do with it.

I don't get it either. It's not even a duet.

seriously. it's obvious she loves this song - she's tried integrating it into her solo work before, which instigated the whole mick fight back in the early 90s.

Sometimes I want to meet Stevie just to tell her how awful her fans are. It's like the line in Sisters of the Moon - "The people, they love her...And still they are the most cruel". It's like a perfect description for fans on these forums, and I include myself in this comment.

yeah, i don't visit any other boards either. but i do know that familiarity breeds contempt and i think there's always going to be a core group of fans that think they know what's best for an artist. that's why i think it's silly when people get upset over what stevie would think if she read the ledge - i think it's that way for every artist. it's part of the territory. if it seems worse here i think that's because in only playing the "hits" at her shows, she's alienating many of her serious fans, who come here to bitch.

I didn't say it was a fukc you to the fans. You're totally missing my point. It's a fukc you attitude, directed at many things, and while I usually luuuuurve her saying fukc you to anyone or anything, I still think a solo Silver Springs is a bad idea. It's an FM thing, don't mess with perfection, and certainly not just because you want to mess with it.

And hey, *I* am allowed to complain about that, because I've never complained about the setlist before, unlike most of the posters in this thread.
