Default If WE could interview Stevie

Its cool that there have been alot of new interviews this last few weeks...but I am so tired of the same old questions..same old answers.

Here are some questions I'd ask...feel free to add yours!!

1. Do you ever see or have any contact with Kim Anderson or his son?

2. Are you aware of the websites your fans frequent? (Ledge, etc.)

3. Will we ever hear STORMS live?

4. When was the 1st time you did coke? Who gave it to you? Who else was there?

5. Would you do an MTV UNplugged type of show? All acoustic?

6. Should we give up on the Buckingham/Nicks CD re-release?

7. Who was the true great love of your life?

8. Are you REALLY gonna write a book?

9. What is your plan for all of those unreleased demos?

10. So, if no movie in the works..would you consider one in the future?

11. Who would you like to see play you in the Stevie Bio Movie?

12. Do you ever regret breaking up with Lindsey?

Most of this has been answered in some form or another.

I read in a People magazine from the 90s she said she had 3 real loves, and Mick was one of them.

Here's mine:

1.) Have you been writing recently?

2.) When you were on tour in Australia, you mentioned that you were working on an "Illiad-like" poem for "The Three Birds of Rhiannon" which would be turned into a song. Have you worked on this some more? How is it going? Will it be released soon?

3.) In the Destiny Rules doc., you mentioned that you had been "writing like a maniac." Are you still doing this? Anything interesting come of it so far?

4.) Rumor has it that you are still under contract with Reprise Records and "owe" them one more record. May we hope to see this soon? Will there be new material on it?

5.) You've mentioned in interviews that you have literally HUNDREDS of songs stored in filing cabinets. As a matter of fact, you were saying that as early as 1983 or so. Do you have any plans to re-open those files and turn them into published songs?

6.) There's a lot of great publicity photos of your pianos, both in L.A. and in Phoenix. How often do you like to sit down and play? Do you compose as you're doing so? Have you done so recently?

and most importantly,

7.) So how's that WRITING coming along?

( You may be noticing a bit of a pattern to these questions... )

Well, the answer to that is fluid -- her explanation changes over time. I don't really have any interest in knowing how her songs are tied to her life. Most of her lyrics are rather vague and impressionistic...more of a feeling than a story.
So open-ended as they are, they can mean anything you want them to, as Stevie has herself re-interpreted them. Sometimes she can't even figure them out. For example, her narrative for the Stand Back video. She actually questioned her own lyrics: "Take me home...what does that mean?"
