I respect your opinion. I think the problem is, is that American Idol is big on “big voices.” Anyone that doesn’t have that big voice or wide range is considered beneath those that do. Every winner pretty much has a voice that soars. What I like about Haley is that she has a good range but she never over sings the songs. I actually do find a lot of emotion in her performances, mainly “Missing You” and “True Colors.” I find her to be completely humble and genuine, much like Elliott Yamin from last year. I’m drawn to people like that. I know Haley won’t win but I don’t care about that, I like her.

Yep, and she reminds me of a Miss America contestant during the talent portion of the competition. She has that beauty queen blankness when she's performing.

I know what you're saying about the "big voice" thing and I agree. That's why I like Gina. I liked Nadia Turner a couple seasons back too, and Elliott's good too (did you see his album debuted at, like, #3 this week?!) I don't typically love the big bold soaring voice. But Haley's too generic & bland, IMO.

Surprisingly, last night's show was one of the best this season IMO. Creepy Phil sucked, as did Sanjaya, of course. I thought Chris gave one of the strongest performances, along with Melinda (as always.) Blake, LaKisha, and Jordin were good. Haley and Gina were ok. Gina and Phil could go home. I think America will keep Haley and her legs around another week.

^ I almost always agree with you, Krista. I liked Blake, Melinda (that dress was hideous though), Lakesha & Jordin. Thought Gina did well, but she was better last week & I hated her look this week. Chris did well. Phil droned on & on, Haley thought she was in the Miss America pageant & Sanjaya? Dear God. Anyone remember the pimp from the Love is a Battlefield video?

I don't think it had a poofy butt but of course it was short and tight.

Yes. Ordinarily I'm a big Howard fan. Not this time.

As soon as Ryan announced the groups, I knew who was the bottom 3. But I really was shocked Gina went - should have been Phil. I knew Haley wouldn't go, since she flaunted enough T&A to keep herself in a bit longer. I am so disappointed. And Gina looked so upset. And of all the songs to have to sing? "Smile.....though your heart is aching...." Poor thing. I'll miss her. There goes the only contestant with any sort of "rock" edge, however slight it was.

Best Sign: Sanjaya is my papaya!

That's right. Sanjaya lives on. I'm glad Tony B likes Sanjaya. He is so fun to watch. I'm a bit bummed he trimmed his hair, but it looks ripe for a bob style on his next performance.

No surprise Gina left, she really got worse and worse each week. Bat Boy Baldy needs to go soon right along with Haley. Since it is one at a time, their turn will come. Although Haley in spite of having no clue what she was singing, her vomit inducing Betty Boop shoulder move at the end, it was her tits and legs that kept her in one more week. Bat Boy and Haley really suck.

Melinda should win as she is really the singer here. Maybe LaKisha as I go back and forth on them. Blake was pretty good making a song about killing as bubblegum. Chris Timberlake (looking slightly inbred) managed to dazzle. Doesn't take much to wonder what Timberlake would do, and then do it. Jordan was not so good and occasionally off key. But her big note at the end sways America again! LOL.

Next up is latin music week with tips from Jennifer Lopez. I shudder at the very thought. Might have to miss it. Naah.

Go Sanjaya. Sing a Ricky Martin song.
