A great body and photogenic face is a talent just like a great voice i said that statement is stupid and others did too. you dont have to back up such a stupid comment cause you've known him for a while. come on! a photogenic face is a talent?????? i shouldnt bother arguing with people who think the comment is sane because they obviously have a really weird sense of logic but i find it hard to believe someone would still think this. i think he doesnt think this but just cant admit he said a ridiculous thing |

my battles? its not ok to say that something illogical when it clearly is? then they keep telling me to go to a gym as a rebutal for a really illogical statement to point out how they're not making any sense is picking the wrong battle?

look, Im the first one to admit Jason cant let go of a useless argument (HA HA!) but I didnt get what you got out of what he said. Perhaps I am missing some essential part of this argument?
In any event, while no one (IMO) can honestly say that possessing a pretty face amounts to TALENT, at the same time no one can deny that it isnt in fact an ASSET. Some assets are overlooked. to recognize an asset IS a talent, and perhaps that is what Jason meant?? ![]() |

someone did honestly say that posessing a pretty face amounts to talent. and your right its definately an asset but a talent is "a special natural ability or aptitude" and an asset is a useful thing. lindseys asset is his gorgeous face and his talent is his ability to play guitar like no one else. even if thats what strand meant he could swallow his pride and admit that he screwed up what he said but he just continued by telling us how good looking he is that he's done so much modeling and that he's so wealthy and that he works out all the time. wtf has that go t to do with it. either he retracts and evaluates what he said and it all makes sense or hes an arrogant fool |

and if you get fat, you lose that face just as when you do not exercise your voice, you lose it -- or you can lose both by other reasons. Trust me, it happened to me. Shall I speak in monosyllabic words for you In the end, if you want to consider beauty and asset instead of a talent - go right ahead. Here is the def. of "talent" Main Entry: tal·ent Pronunciation: 'ta-l&nt Function: noun Etymology: Middle English, from Old English talente, from Latin talenta, plural of talentum unit of weight or money, from Greek talanton pan of a scale, weight; akin to Greek tlEnai to bear; in senses 2-5, from the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 -- more at TOLERATE 1 a : any of several ancient units of weight b : a unit of value equal to the value of a talent of gold or silver 2 archaic : a characteristic feature, aptitude, or disposition of a person or animal 3 : the natural endowments of a person 4 a : a special often creative or artistic aptitude b : general intelligence or mental power : ABILITY 5 : a person of talent or a group of persons of talent in a field or activity synonym see GIFT - tal·ent·ed /-l&n-t&d/ adjective - tal·ent·less /-l&nt-l&s/ adjective http://merriamwebster.com/dictionary/talent Here are the syn. and atn. from the same source: talent One entry found for talent. Entry Word: talent Function: noun Text: a special and usually inborn ability Synonyms aptitude, endowment, faculty, flair, genius, gift, knack Related Words bent, inclination, leaning, partiality, penchant, predilection, predisposition, proclivity, propensity, turn; ear, eye, head, mind, nose; feel, hang, instinct, touch, way; capability, competence, facility, proficiency, skill; capacity, power, potential Near Antonyms disability, handicap, inability, incapacity; shortcoming, weakness As for Paris Hilton, she has a talent for making the public notice her and she usually plays that card very carefully. Is she an great actress - no, she is not. But, she has something in the talent department that makes people, perhaps not any of us, keep coming back. If substituting "aptitude, endowment, faculty, flair, genius, gift, or knack" makes you feel better - go right ahead - but those are all synonyms for "talent" ![]() Last edited by strandinthewind; 04-01-2007 at 10:04 AM.. |

Oh for the love of god, stop saying that. The word has lost all meaning. Everybody's a troll, and you are a beautiful, talented rich guy who is the troll authority. You will be my hubby one day.
