Philly Anyone??

Anyone here going to Philly??? I will be there with a bunch of my friends from Mick's! Hope to meet some new people!

Well Philly was amazing, me one new Ledgie!

We all got front row for an amazing show...same old setlist, but the best was after the show! They Blocked off the end of the alley where their car would be driving away from so we waited at the end of it. When his car came through he had the driver slow down to sign some autographs so we ran over! I got the most piss poor LB autograph I have ever seen, but its an autograph none the less!! The best was my girlfriend, Sara's, attempt at an autograph! when she got it to him the driver started puling away and he was still signing and he was saying "we are mooooving! stop stop! (to the driver) but by the time they stopped he had drawn a long line at the end of his signature (well sort of a signature!!!) but as she turned around, Brett grabbed her arm and said "How old are you?" and she said "What!?!" and as soon as she got What out he said "Come with us" and she had this HUGE look of shock on her face! This was all as they were pulling away again and security pulled her by her shirt away from the car!

A Realllllly odd ending for sure!

that's wild...good thing she didn't end up under the wheels what with the car move, brett's arm grab, and the security shirt pull!

That is weird! I'm glad she got pulled away. I guess Brett was trying to get himself a lil' something!

had I known what he was saying at the time, I probably would have socked him, but I just saw the expression on her face at first, but she and our friend Ashley filled me in on the "conversation" after the fact!

I would have been shocked too, but I wouldn't have wanted to disappoint.

My gut reaction would have been to elbow the security guard (not too hard

) and dive through the open car window...IF Lindsey would have asked of course.

Some highlights:

About an hour before the show started, Neale went outside for a smoke and then went to a restaurant across the street from the venue. He didn't order anything, he just stood there. I went over to try to talk to him, but he seemed to want to be left alone. I did tell him that his use of a 12-string acoustic on GYOW was "genius," of which he seemed appreciative.

After Lindsey came out, but before he started playing, I screamed "Not Too Late!" Lindsey then nodded at me and began playing.

During "It Was You," the crowd cheered every time Lindsey mentioned one of his children.

Before "Under the Skin," Lindsey said, that we were "a great ****ing audience," causing the crowd to go nuts.

After the drum solo in Tusk, the crowd, which for the most part had remained sedentary until then, finally got on their feet, and several people, including myself, moved toward the stage, where they would remain throughout the rest of the show. During GYOW I got to touch Lindsey's guitar. I could have flipped the pickup switch because it was right near my hand, but decided not to because I didn't want to piss anyone off. Before they left for the encore break, Neale gave me his pick.

I think it was during the encore break, two women threw their panties onstage. One landed in Lindsey's spot, and one in Brett's. Lindsey and Brett ended up showing them off at various points throughout the rest of the show.

Before "Show You How," Neale told Lindsey that he was not going to play until somebody threw panties at him, at which point Brett threw him the panties that had been thrown to him, much to the delight of the crowd.

Best concert I've ever been to? It just might be.
