Forgive me, but people like this are retarded idiots! Granted, we (rightly) bitch and moan over stale set lists (that's another story), but I don't understand why people feel so short-changed. So they go a concert of an artist they presumbably love/like...and then get angry when their favorite song isn't performed? What the fuk? It's one thing to be dissapointed but to get angry is...stupidity.

From experience, I know that if you go to a concert with no expectations you'll usually enjoy yourself. Conversely, go to concert with your own personal hopes, wishes, expectations, and you'll go home disappointed. What happened to the concept of enjoying the show for what it is, rather than what you hope it will be? Thankfully, in some regards, I'm glad for the impending death of hit radio. Without the expectations and constraints of performing mostly songs labeled as "hits," hopefully bands will simply feel free to perform any songs that they deem as "good."

amber...would it be too much to ask to see that pic again - the one of Brett holding his heart for you?
That is the cutest picture.

I don't think the back is supposed to be tucked in to your pantyhose showing your ass to everyone behind you. Just a suggestion

Okay, he wasn't "holding his heart" for me. He was commenting that he's never seen a girl without breasts, and kind of demonstrating...

Of course Stevie can still sing. Her voice is different and she's reworked her songs accordingly. I'd rather she hit the new notes than screetch the old ones off-key like Jana does.

Anyway, I went to Vegas with no expectations of anything different, so the setlist switch up was a pleasant surprise. The violin intro to Gold Dust Woman was gorgeous. I'm still appreciating the "Baby baby baby you can save me now." If Anyone Falls is still basically new to me. Hell, it's even possible for me to appreciate Sorcerer.

The energy level, the boots, the high kicks, the very sexy How Still My Love, all reminded me of why I love will always love Stevie. When she is on, she is ON, and there is no one like her. It's easy to see why people would be disappointed that there aren't new songs. It's harder to convey the joy of actually being in her presence when she is smiling, feeling good, moving and downright enjoying herself. Tuesday was that experience for me. I hope that everyone who is disappointed, disgusted, disgruntled gets to experience the same kind of renewal of Stevie-love that I did. I think that being a fan now means appreciating who Stevie is NOW.

To answer a few random questions that I think haven't been addressed yet:
--Scott Plunkett is filling in for Brett
--Yes, we did go to Paris for the breakfast buffet. It was still good, but not as fabulous as I remember
--and NO ONE pissed in Nancy's cheerios, as I actually witnessed what she'd had for breakfast that day. Not a toasted oat morsel on the menu.

No one can define what it means to be a fan and no one can set the standard for others. I can legitimately call myself a Stevie fan and be completely turned off by her set list and her current lack of originality and creativity.

That said...it's great that she was in fine form and that you enjoyed the show. I thoroughly enjoyed her in December even though the setlist sucked. So I 'get it'....

Yeah, that's really cool, I'm sorry I'm missing it. In my head, in theory, I get "disappointed" with her setlists, but then when I'm there in front of her I'm always excited out of my mind, and enthralled, and in love. Except during Dreams/OTR. So I'll always go see Miss Thing if I can.

Where as the pain in my everything just went away. OTR is my very most least favorite, even more than Dreams.

Sorry, though, Curtie, since you like it. Hey, Curtie, you should see if Storm is playing by you in Canada. She said she's going up there, now. She is so good you will die.

DIE!!!

Well, now that I know you went to Paris for breakfast, it's obvious that Nancy did not have Cheerios - with or without pee.

Glad you guys are having a good time again. I have nothing but fantastic memories of the '05 experience.
