good for you. I just got a new Mac...a MacBook actually. what did you get?

unfort, I have to use Windows at work. and here's my desktop.

I finally bought Shapeshifter to trick out my MacBook.



I need to find a better b/w pic of Stevie, but this will do for now. this is the PhotoPro theme from InterfaceLIFT. you like?

oh, I didn't see this post earlier. I got the black MacBook. I prefer the black to the whites, but don't really know why. I guess because they're not glossy (my last laptop was super glossy and the constant finger/handprints bugged me like nothing else), they'd hide dirt better, etc. when I was looking at them in the Apple store and making a final decision, I almost went with the white but ended up sticking to my guns. I'm glad I did. and I'm also happy I get student discounts. hollaa.

really?! I think that was one that I tweaked. from what I remember I took 2, maybe 3 different ones I found, merged them and then added some of my own text. I think I got all from deviantart.com (love that place!)

I liked both really. I decided to go with white just because it matches my iPod plus I had heard that the black ones show greasy fingerprints really bad. they both have pros and cons, it really comes down to personal preference. I always love your avatars and such...do you change up your icons and themes?

My sister just told me she had uploaded it to there but recently took it down. It was actually a school assignment, she studies Multimedia Design. Here are the originals if anyone's interested. What a small world.

I thought about the iPod thing, too. mine's white (I prefer white iPods), but I still went with the black MacBook regardless. I wish the cables that came with it would match, though, but it's not a big thing. I haven't noticed any fingerprint issues, but it could be attributed to my handwashing habits since I've been using my macbook. I wash my hands all.the.time. so I don't get smudges on it or anything. it's really sad.

my avatars here are just based on what tickles my fancy at the time.

for my computer(s), I usually just go with a wallpaper and that's it. I used to alter my color schemes to match my wallpaper when I was using Windows. so far on my macbook, I've adjusted my Adium background & window colors to match my wallpaper:





yes, I'm on my own buddy list. it's my way of checking if my buddy icon, etc is working.
