That was great. I love to hear stevie talk about working with animals. so dramatic.
I cant wait for eveyday..."the black swans.....tried to kill me"

Swans are MEAN. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Or:

"I was walking thru this set of fake woods, and there are these ... GUYS ... asleep in the trees. Well, one of them really fell asleep, then almost fell ... RIGHT ON TOP OF ME! It was literally raining men ... TOTALLY!"

Hey there, Al! Another infrequent poster! Thanks for posting this link from Enchanted (and thanks to Moonchilde for actually posting the clips)--I hadn't even watched the Crystal Visions trailer yet, but after seeing these two videos with commentary, I might actually have to go out and buy this thing! The Stand Back commentary made me laugh SO HARD!!!

I thought that Stevie took herself too seriously at times, but that myth has been completely busted. Love her, .

Edge has always had a very sexual undertone to me...especially the howl in the middle and the "ooh, ooh, ooooooo's", (yea, I know the WWD makes that sound too), and the 'age old desire to please' line.
I do think the deaths of her Uncle and Lennon impacted her a great deal and that turmoil led to her writing a great song.
I do think the unreleased Edge video is pretty interesting. Especially the part when she tosses the baby doll on the floor and runs away.
I'm with you on the lyrics. They do have a sexual undertone to me as well. What does "he was no more than a baby then" "he seemed brokenhearted" and "I went today maybe I will do again tomorrow" have to do with her uncle's death? I've always thought this, just didn't know if anyone else agreed.

OMG. The commentary to SB cracked my ass up. That is hilarious!

Oh, and she did say "my uncle" and not "Michael". But she did say his name was Bill and I always thought his name was Jonathan too.

Still sound like 'Michael' to me, but since that really doesn't make any sense, I'll go with 'my uncle'.

Anyway:

"The white-winged dove in the song is a spirit that is leaving a body, and I felt a great loss at how both Johns were taken."

"I said, 'My Uncle John wouldn't have wanted me to cry. He would have wanted me to write. He would have wanted me to go straight to the piano.'"

"It was written about my uncle John having cancer and and that was about the time of [the murder of] John Lennon."

Warner posted a lot of Stevie/Mac videos yesterday! These are the regular versions - no comments - but the quality is excellent.

Almost makes me wish she hated all her other videos also.

I love how Stevie tries to blame the horse for the fact that she can't ride

Maybe someone at 7W asked her to change the name?

Maybe she does. We can only hope.

Classic. She always blames something or someone else for her own shortcomings.

She's full of surprises these days. I always thought the Civil War version didn't get used because she thought it didn't really fit, not that she flat out hated it, to the point where she mocks it and herself on a public release. Love it.

"What the heck does that mean?" I literally choked.

The Every Day video is lovely, I doubt she'd have anything bad to say about it. Same with the ROF video, though maybe in retrospect it seems a little silly. The all out dance videos will be the funniest. Those cannot be taken seriously...I hope.

Too bad she isn't doing FM videos. I'd love to hear her comments on Gypsy.

Doesn't she discuss the Gypsy vid pretty throroughly in one of those My Top 11 interviews from Australia? I know - not a play-by-play, but more dish than I've seen elsewhere.

^ "I'm eternally grateful to Brad Jeffries for dancing in Stand Back. He really saved that video."

Maybe she'll bitch that the director of Every Day forced to wear a color other than black or beige.

Then, there is the making of gypsy video, where she goes into it in length.

Also - when did Prince do the Stand Back intro.? If he was at her BD concert, could it have been before then? She wasn't married yet, right?

The reason I ask is that she makes it sound like she called prince without knowing him and he showed up to work on SB.
