I'm excited again too. I felt a little down about the whole thing after all the SNAFUs, but this has perked my ears back up. The DVD has always been the selling point for me, but even moreso now.

totally. once again, low expectations have made the final product that much more enjoyable.

Did fans coin the term "The Walk" during Edge of Seventeen (this is the first time I've ever heard Stevie mention it specifically). I'd imagine there are other things it could have been called..."The Handshake," "Meet 'n' Greet." But it just seems like something we (as fans) might have come up with.

Hella. I always wished I could just sit and shoot the **** and joke around with her.

She's that lovely combination of self serious and easily offended combined with total dorking out that I understand so well.

As we all know, it's way different if you call yourself a dork than if someone else (Liddy B) intimates that you are one.

Of course. I mean, she's not permadork. But the awareness of one's dorkability is endearing. I knew Stevie knew of her own dork factor in a long ago interview where she mentioned what she thought Chris might be thinking of her outfits and dancing on the first tour, "What is this, fairy school?"

Classic.

I didn't read that one. Chris would so say that. Chris is hella funny.
Anyway, a lot of times when Stevie is serious about stuff that she does, I find it really funny anyways. She's acts all like everything she is concerned about, or does, or thinks, is soooo important. I was going to site examples, but you know what I mean.

That is why I am especially glad to hear her dork out on herself, because really, in most interviews, she is very self serious and self absorbed...about her work....not that there's anything wrong with that...

That is the Stevie I like most. I don't like when she is in that "legend in her own mind" mode. It's not all that dignified. She has earned the right, but it just makes her look insecure. I hope you do get to meet her, and not in an all fanned out worshipful crazy setting. She really is that funny.

She is really funny - she cracked a joke when I met her, which was quite unexpected

I agree. Although I don't think it makes her look insecure, I'm always astonished at her confidence. Either way, I laugh.

But men say stuff like that all the time. I'm not sure I think it makes her look less dignified. I just think it makes her look self absorbed. But again, I've seen many guys say the same things, so I'm trying not to have a double standard in my head. Although I'm not sure it's so much a double standard as the belief that, as much as I love her, even Stevie isn't that important. heheheh.
