Default Stevie sighting in the Pick of Destiny

So I went and caught a late showing of The Pick of Destiny last night, and I was laughing through the whole thing. It's classic Tenacious D, doing what they do best. Roll one up and go see it if you want to sit back and laugh at The D making their mark as "the greatest rock band in the universe".

I really liked it because there was a psuedo sighting of Stevie! During one scene the D's quest for "the pick" leads them to the Rock and Roll history museum. More specifically, the classic rock room. While they are looking for a hiding place from the security officers/cameras, the camera pans across the room and they show a quck glimpse of this outfit on display:

I thought it was cool. I had my little fanboy moment and had to tell my friends all about the outfit, that shoot, Stevie's gorgeousness, etc. Jack Black must be a Stevie fan, which makes him sooooooo much cooler doesn't it?

I love Tenacious D - heard nothing but good things about this movie, so far.

Yeah, I think Jack's a fan - I mean, his flapping to EO17 in School of Rock? Come on!

I know this thread is old, but I saw the flick last night & it was hilarious. And I had forgotten about this sighting, so of course I jumped out of my chair & squealed "hey, that's Stevie's white dress!" I noticed that the pic Michelle posted above was hanging on the wall next to it, but was paritally obscured by something (a cymbal on a drum set maybe.) But being the psychotic fan that I am, of course I recognized it from the flowy white sleeves blowing in the wind.

I rented this and watched it Sunday afternoon. It's definitely a good stoner movie and when they showed the mannequin with the dress on, both my partner and I yelled. "STEVIE!!". Of course we rewound it and then noticed the big picture behind it - confirming who it was supposed to belong to. Stevie's face was blocked by one of the mannequin's arms that were stretched out. It was really a knock-off of the outfit and not the exact one but pretty close.

^ YES! Thanks for clarifying what was blocking the pic, I was searching for screen caps & came up empty.

The soundtrack? Hilarious.

Don't act like you would turn down a talking Ronnie James Dio poster, either.

Ben Stiller's hair was hysterical. Like it was permed everyday since the mid 80s. Fried to a crisp.
