Oohh... I love the music, too. I should also mention that I have both soundtracks on CD (Music from the Motion Picture Gladiator, and More Music from the Motion Picture Gladiator). Excellent stuff.

2. 9.1 The Shawshank Redemption (1994) Love it.
3. 8.9 The Godfather: Part II (1974) See response to #1.
4. 8.8 Buono, il brutto, il cattivo, Il (1966) No.
5. 8.8 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) Yes and hated it.
6. 8.8 Casablanca (1942) Yes and hated it.

11. 8.7 One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) Yes, though was not impressed.
12. 8.7 Star Wars (1977) Yes, hated it.
13. 8.7 Rear Window (1954) No.

16. 8.6 Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) Of course, gotta love Indy.
17. 8.6 Cidade de Deus (2002) No.
18. 8.6 The Usual Suspects (1995) Yes, but I was only 14 and found it very boring.
19. 8.6 Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) No, but my mom has the DVD, so I could if I wanted to.
20. 8.6 Goodfellas (1990) Yes. Didn't like.
21. 8.6 Psycho (1960) No, actually.
22. 8.6 C'era una volta il West (1968) No.

Any of the Harry Potters

O Brother, Where Art Thou-alright. So I tried to watch this movie too. HATED it. So I started reading or something. Then I decided "ya know...I really should try to pay attention and see what all the fuss is about" and then a cow gets hit by a bus or car or something.

alright. Let's go.
Same with me but I have seen Pulp Fiction, the first Godfather and half of TSOM. However, I have just recently saw PF and the Godfather within the last 6 months. I think I am going to get netflix again and try to watch some more movies.

Yeah..I' am one of those "Never seen Star Wars" folks. I get some pretty weird looks when I say I have never seen it. My ex BF and my family are huge fans. I am surprised I have never watched it since I am always around them. My ex was going to give me all of the movies but I never got around to getting them. They have been showing them on TV lately so I may catch it there.

Or what my friends and I collectively refer to as "The Lord of the Yawns Trilogy." I'll never understand the popularity of this crap, even though I am from Vacaville the (for some unexplainable reason) home of the annual "Middle Earth Festival."

Agreed - this is one of only two films that get me in the back of the throat - the scene you mentioned being one thing, and another was the scene in which the soldiers are forced to sing to mask the sound of Eli Wallach getting the crap beaten out of him by Lee Van Cleef's goon "More feeling!" ... Films don't normally move me to that extent, but that one does

about the scene where Tuco is getting pummeled by Angel Eyes goon.

According to Quentin Tarratino, the gunfight ending at the cemetary between Blondie, Tuco & Angel Eyes is the most dramatic scene ever shot in movie history.

Gimme any Sergio Leone movie and I am a happy guy

Hon, these two are 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' and 'Once Upon A Time In the West'. Hope that helps.

Ennio Morricone was honored at the Academy Awards (Finally!!!) for his musical contributions to films. The score in "Il Buono, il brutto, il cattivo/The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is the best score EVER in movie history.

No movie, repeat NO MOVIE EVER, will have a better score than the one Morricone provided for the finale of the "Man with no name" trilogy.

When I die, at my wake/funeral/whatevah I want Morricone's "Ecstasy of Gold" played at full volume.
