Thanks! I hated it when I was a kid because I thought it sounded so old fashioned. It's actually a combo of my grandma & grandpa's names, Vina and Eddie.

My middle name is Emily. I don't mind having that as a middle name, but the only time I hear it is usually in some form of "CATHERINE EMILY, YOU ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE YOUNG LADY." And then it kinda sucks.

When I was little, I went by Katie moreso than Kate. There were a lot of Katies when I was in kindergarten or what have you, so I got called Katie Emily a lot. It was cute then, but now it makes me want to puke. I don't really know how I started going by Kate, as I still go by Katie sometimes. I think it had something to do with the fact that when I was a kid, I'd be out playing, and whenever the streetlights came on, that meant I had to go inside, so my dad would just yell "HEY KATE" out the window, and that was that.
