I see the pose as sort of the climax of Stevie's being out of control and not really having a sense of her identity anymore. It's like she took her "look" from the previous 10 years or so and multiplied it by a thousand. Hair is wild and out of control, dress is huge and rather garish, makeup too much.

And the pose--well, she had run out of ideas. She'd already done the graceful (Bella Donna), mysterious (Wild Heart), and pixie/rocknroll ballerina (Rock A Little). So she chose an elaborate, over-the-top pose that she probably didn't like, but thought is what her fans wanted. It pains me to look at that picture, personally.

Ok guys, i have a question on the OSOTM concert that was posted. At the end of HAEWAFY, is Stevie really crying and if so why???? It is so heartbreaking.

I would agree with the cover art... what a letdown. That whole album to me was a let down... The Kenny G, Bruce Hornsby appearances... It seemed to me like she mellowed... It was "pop" Stevie vs. "rock" Stevie.
She made up for it on the tour....

I'm sure I've seen this, but can't place it in my mind. Can anyone help me find it- I just spent waaay too long on YouTube looking.

No luck? I waded through a few pages. I KNOW I saw it on there! Maybe it was actually BATB from the WH tour?

Aw, you're sweet- actually this BATB is one of my favorites. I never found what I was looking for- I had to give up, American Idol was coming on!

That wasn't it? Shoot. As far as I can see, HAEWFY from OSOTM isn't anywhere to be found.

She dedicated the song to the 30th anniversary of Woodstock. She started crying (at the Denver show) talking about poets, legends, and those Woodstock artists that have been lost over the past 30 years.
