I have been a TV Theme Song nerd since I was a kid.
Honest to Stevie, I used to sit in front of our TV with my little tape recorder, and record the songs to my favorite shows. I still have those tapes somewhere.

Some of my favorites over the years (I lean most towards songs with lyrics)....

Wonder Woman (naturally!!!)
Alice
One Day At A Time
Mary Tyler Moore Show
Facts Of Life
Gimme A Break
The Nanny
Maude
Gilligan's Island
Petticoat Junction
Car 54, Where Are You?
The Addams Family
Beverly Hillbillies
Golden Girls
227
Laverne & Shirley
Happy Days
The Jeffersons
Green Acres
Charles In Charge
Amen
The Love Boat
Charlie's Angels
Dark Shadows

Ok, I'd better stop there!

The Monkees
The Partridge Family
Donny and Marie Show - I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock n' roll

My sis is an avid soundtrack collector, and she also has every god damn TV theme ever made. It's fun when she starts quizzing you by playing a few seconds and having you guess which show.

Anyhoo...some of my favourites are:

- Friends
- The Nanny
- The Sopranos (catchy tune)
- Moonlighting (Al Jarreau )
- Married...with Children
- What was that show called again that had "Hit the Road, Jack" as its theme song?
- CSI (The Who...you know)
- Golden Girls (so cheesy, but fun)

I'll think of more later.

First off, this thread rules.

My faves:

Golden Girls
The Jeffersons
Good Times
What's Happening?
The Price is Right
MTM
THUNDERCATS!
Perfect Strangers (shut up)
A-Team
Late Night with Conan
The Tonight Show (Johnny Carson)- the high school band used to practice this, and I would hear it every morning. I hum this all the time now, six years after I graduated

LOVE LOVE those...and I'm also a big TV Theme song nerd...ok..does anyone have all the TV theme song cds? Because I do

Here are some more I love...and still sing randomly at times:

Scooby Doo Where are You (original)
New Scooby Doo Movies
Brady Bunch
Growing Pains
Family Ties
Full House
X-Files -there are no words, but I remember David Duchovny on a talk show once and he said something like, "did you know there are words to the X-Files theme song...'The X-Files is a show, with music by Mark Snow'..." So I always sing that.

The Courtship of Eddie's Father
Nanny and the Professor
I Love Lucy
The Banana Splits (see Bob Marley's "Buffalo Soldier")
M.A.S.H.
The Bob Newhart Show
Good Times
The Partridge Family
The outro for the Carol Burnett show
Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom (not sure if this is technically a jingle for the insurance co., but I can still sing it.)
National Geographic

I watched a lot of TV as a kid, and saw most of these in syndicated re-runs, except for the shows from 70's CBS Sat night lineup.

oh, I forgot the theme to Bosom Buddies. Not the Billy Joel one, but the one that came after, Shake Me Loose? *dances*

First season is supposed to come out on DVD in a few months.
