Default Caesar's: A New Day, er, Set?

I just noticed at Taku's site that Stevie's band will be rehearsing in Los Angeles from March 13-16. That's four days to rehearse for a four-night run. Surely they don't need that much rehearsal time for a show that they could all practically perform in their sleep. I recall that for the Vegas show in December, all they needed was a single day.

So okay, y'all, speculate! Four days! Could this possibly mean that there will actually be something new added to the set? I don't think this show is being touted as the "Dreams" show, so perhaps it's not going to be a standard issue "Dreams" set list.

So how many new songs do y'all think we'll get? And what about the rest of the days leading up to March 21? Perhaps they will be used to put the finishing touches on the new video images/animation? Can you feel the winds of change? Is it a new day, Celine???

Well, isn't 4 days pretty routine? No? Usually with a new tour, or new stuff, they're in rehearsal for at least two weeks. No?

I really doubt there'll be anything new in Vegas, but I think there will be new stuff during the summer tour.

Actually rehearsals for a new tour would usually take at least a couple of months, especially if the group has not played together for years. But we are talking about a group of people that have been playing the same show together for almost two years. And this is only a month after the mini-tour of Florida. I could understand a day, maybe two at the tops to do a dry run-through. But four days? That's definitely enough time to work through one or two new songs, especially if everyone comes prepared, i.e., mp3's of the arrangements are sent out in advance by Waddy.

And I just realized... isn't there a Lindsey conflict here? Obviously Taku knows where his bread is (best) buttered. You always come home to Mama.

I really meant for a new leg of the tour, which is what these shows basically are. One long two year tour with the same stuff. Considering that, I think 4 days is actually rather short, so I'm not holding out hope for some new stuff. Before the 2004 leg of the SYW tour kicked off in May they were in rehearsals for a couple of weeks and they didn't make that many groundbreaking changes.

I'm pretty sure they'll throw something new in for Vegas...four days...as Hejira said....if it's the same show they rehearse a day before or do a long soundcheck...I think Waddy might have mentioned that the fans wanted to hear Rooms On Fire to her and she took it into consideration

maybe ONE new song, if we're lucky. That's probably it but I ain't holdin' my breath. I do, however, hope they work on those graphics. I payed closer than usual attention to them during the Hard Rock show and man, they sucked! They need some serious attention. That stupid dove during Edge is particularly annoying.

I have to disagree! For those first couple of shows we got:

-"Don't Let Me Down Again"
-"I Know I'm Not Wrong"
-"Red Rover"
-"Destiny Rules"
-"Sara"

And I think "Say You Will" was kicked up a half step or two in key. Or was that later on during the 2004 leg? And didn't "Second Hand News" replace "Eyes of the World" during this leg? Can't remember... oy, it's a bitch growing old.

From the Caesar's website...still billed as the "Dreams" show.

Extraordinary Stevie Nicks returns to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in a four show engagement of "DREAMS", the exclusive concert experience. This limited engagement is presented jointly by Caesars Palace and AEG Live.

I really hope you're right, Ed. I want new stuff as much as anyone and I used to be very optimistic around this issue. But Stevie's given no reason to think there will be anything new in March. And after listening to these incredible demos, I think it's almost unforgivable that she keeps doing the same 13 songs or whatever when there is a goldmine of material out there for her to record and tour behind.

She probably just has to adjust her timing to some new Unicorn pics she has in the background...

If anything, she should be throwing in something that she's basically going to be promoting from the "best of" like "Talk To Me", "I Can't Wait" "Rooms On Fire" or even "Leather And Lace" done either solo kinda accapella with the girls, or with Waddy...
