I'm so happy the Chicks were again vindicated...sheesh what is it gonna take for the bumpkins at country radio?! I'm only sorry that Natalie once apologized for her comments about shrub in England..but she did take it back.

He's (currently) a bigger cokehead than Stevie ever was- but, beside that, it was nice to see the DC win the award- even if they didn't deserve based it on merit.

How about the Police! Highlight of the evening... with their tour about to be announced in a couple of hours.

Please Henley is still doing coke?! I can't believe he'd still even be alive ..we're talking about over 30 years of abuse if it were so.BTW are you the same Luke that had the advanced copy of TISL and made such a big production out of having it?

LAWWWDDD YES! I am a fan of Mr. Wills AND especially THE REBA! I love the older country crowd and especially Country Western Swing...AND BUCK OWENS BABY! Give that "Tiger By The Tail" any day over the overplayed and overhyped crap they rehash on the radio. I quit listening to country stations years ago...unless it's my friends on the air of course, because they refuse to play the older generation. I'm a true Southern Belle in that regard...

My friend in radio told me that she has a new duets album being made now (ala Tony Bennett) and is supposed to be recording with JT today - sorry Jazmen he isn't available for you today! She recorded already with some amazing pop/rock people. If anyone would like a listing, I'll ask again...

how can you be from Oklahoma, live near Tulsa like I did as a child and not know who Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys are (My Dad loved 'em - Dad was a big REAL country music fan; Buck Owens, Porter Wagoner, Waylon Jennings, etc.)

They are legendary for their KVOO broadcasts in yesteryear, along with their homebase for their broadcast The Cain's Ballroom. The Cain's is still in use as a premier concert hall, and yes the art deco still includes homages to its Texas Swing days.

I kind of skimmed through the show. Have to say Gnarls Barkley gave me goosebumps. That was the best Grammy performance since Moby and Blue Man Group in 2001.

I could have gone without seeing JT's bushbrows that close.

My favorite performances were Police, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Smokey Robinson and Mary J.

The DC's were OK.

When not listening to FM, I mostly listen to Classic country, and Western Swing. I've got a Buck Owens Telecaster, "engrave autographed" to me personally, from Buck himself. I tried to pay his secretary for having it done, and she said Buck wouldn't hear of it. That he was happy to do it for a fan.
WHAT A CLASS ACT.

The Rolling Stones did that song - only in Austin.

Oh, and I thought the Police were really good. Can't stand Sting but he looks great and still hits some high notes.

holy christina aguilera. i thought she blew the house down.

and my girl mary j (yeahh-heahhh) sang it like she meant it, too.

i liked the gnarls barkley performance okay, but i was hoping they'd switch up how they played the song a little more. i liked the intro, but i would have liked for it to have gotten a little more funky, especially after the background singers came in. but cee-lo definitely did his job.. that is for sure. the shades were bitchin'.

there was much else that i was totally down for.. but i will say that if i hear that james blunt song ever again, i'm going to blow my brains out. that performance blew the big one. but maybe i'm biased because, y'know, i hate that song, and i think james' voice is the most annoying pathetic male singing voice i've ever heard. (followed by that whole whiny-whispery thing john mayer does that only lindsey can pull off.) go back to whatever coffee shop it is you came from, please.
