Stevie's last "best of" is nearly 17 years old, and her boxed set has been out for nearly a decade. I don't think either will particularly hinder sales of 'Crystal Visions,' though it is unlikely that it will do as well as 'VBoFM.'

CV selling well is a good thing for Stevie, of course. IMHO, nothing that happens with CV will make a difference in her future. ![]()

...don't forget that one thing Crystal Visions has that none of the aforementioned Best of albums have is the DVD. I really think that will attract just as many buyers as a new CD. really, I do.

Out of the box, it may not explode like TISL and be certified gold within a month, but it has many great selling features like the dvd, the new live tracks, and the fact that it's different then both Timespace and Enchanted in many ways - that over time it could be one of her better selling albums. Just like Timespace, based on recent soundscan sales, has become the 3rd highest seller in the US - 1.5 million I believe behind Bella Donna and Wild Heart. I would think the cd/dvd combo package will probably disappear after awhile leaving only the best of cd available in the coming years unless they sell the dvd seperately.
And I think too that good sales for this, like others have said, can only show that there still is interest in Stevie and that she is a viable artist out there that can still move product, which is the whole point of releasing anything... If you don't sell, there's not much point in putting it out especially when the production costs and promotion basically come out of her pocket. |

Something new from Stevie is always a good thing. I’m listening to Crystal Visions as I type – homemade version, of course. Any Stevie fan, with the right mix of cds and bootlegs can create a CV playlist right on their ipod. First impression - I like the sequence and think it flows nicely (even the gay Deep Dish Dreams fits).
The good – the inclusion of some of her Best Fleetwood Mac work.. Dreams, Rhiannon, Silver Springs, and Landslide. Let’s face it folks.. some of Stevie’s best music comes from her Mac moments and I like having these on her best of collection. ** note – accidentally copied the Dance version of Silver Springs which I hadn’t listen to in a while... forgot how achingly painful that version is. She’s using the Mastered original version I see– which is also stellar. Also, it would have been nice to have the acoustic “Gypsy” from one of the AHI shows, but at least we have 4 Fleetwood Mac songs to groove to.. I can’t say it enough, but I love the inclusion of her Mac songs.. They belong on a best of Nicks collection.. Hoping – I hope she uses the radio mix version of “I Can’t Wait”. I hope that “Landslide” and “Edge of Seventeen” are mixed better than the boots that are floating around.. I’m sure they will be, so that’s something to look forward to. Also, a professionally sounding “Rock and Roll” is something that makes my mouth water. It also would be cool to have the extended version of “Planets” but with Stevie you never know… About the DVD – where the hell is “If You Ever Did Believe” and “Running Through the Garden” (albeit morphed through the lackluster “Everyday” song)??? I can’t believe they didn’t make the cut. Still something to look forward to… finally to get DVD versions of Stevie’s videos... now where is Fleetwood Macs?? Stevie can count on this fan buying at least 3 copies – 2 hard copies and one Itunes download. Counting the days..yep.. i see Platinum in Stevie's futue.. |

via the lethargic Every Day. Watch the Every Day video was the sound muted and play "Running Through the Garden." imho.. it fits..

Hey there, Keith... long time, no see.
How are things in your world, buddy? Quote:
Including it on 'Crystal Visions' would have been a brilliant move... assuming it was professionally recorded. Quote:
With live versions of "Rhiannon" and "Edge of Seventeen" on there -- neither of which ever clocks in at anything less than 6 minutes -- I doubt there'd be room for the 6:27 extended version of "Planets"... so I have a feeling we're either going to get the album version or the radio edit. The consensus around here is that "If You Ever Did Believe" wasn't included because of rights issues with the footage from 'Practical Magic.' It's the same reason two of Chris Isaak's videos ("Two Hearts" and "Graduation Day") were left off of his recent DVD. Hopefully a collection of FM's videos will soon follow!

Yep, it's THE Keith from the original Ledge!
I bet he'll remember you if we tell him you used to be "Jason, Brother of the Moon." ![]()

I wonder how the pre-order amount would have been without the DVD of videos included?
