Default The Police are BACK

This Monday (February 12), The Police will announce a 60 date tour of North America and Europe.

They are rehearsing thirty songs for the tour- four of which are BRAND NEW Police songs, and will be featured on the new Police box set.

Will you attend a show this summer? Dates are already trickling in, with opening night in Vancouver, and shows at Wrigley Field and Fenway Park on the books...

Sure!
I've seen (and met) the Police once in the 80's -- would love to do it again!

Have always loved the police. I was in highschool in their heyday and all the clubs we'd go to.... ska and two-tone and new wave and the police to dance to! (Holland) Good memories!

So we will TRY to go. If we can find a good babysitter and the tickets are not tooo pricey!

Those old geezers look pretty good. Of course I'll see them. They're on of the bands I never got to see (I think).

I voted "No", couldnt stand the Police back in the day, can't stand 'em now (I like only a handful of their songs)

I laugh that there will be another 'boxed set' collection released - Gee, are they trying to compete with Heart in the repackaging category?

There's only been one box set- not sure what you're talking about. The single Police Greatest Hits disc has been done to death, yes, I agree- the four new Police songs (plus a disc and a half of unreleased demos, outtakes, rare b-sides, and live stuff) is more than enough to differentiate it from the original '93 box set.

Their songs are boring.

Although, Roxanne is a fun drinking game.

in regards to the Greatest Hits releases. I know about the one boxed set that included all the studio tracks, but why re-release yet another set just to include 4 tracks? Would better to make a complete studio album than release material that most already have.

Hope the Police dont end up like Aerosmith by having at least 6 different greatest hits packages with mostly the "same old song and dance" (Of course Stevie will soon her have 3rd hits compilation of the 'tried and true' material)

Me too! Oh, yeah, you were with me!

I voted yes, if they come to my town. But even if they don't, I'd travel to San Antonio, Houston or Dallas.
