what I would really like is a tape lead by a man. and NOT Gilad or anything like that. someone nice to look at. I'm so sick of staring at women and their bobbling boobs while I'm trying to work out. I want some inspiration!

There are 9 teaspoons of sugar in 1 cup of cola and 136 calories. Drink diet. Its 0 calories and 0 sugar. and since its only 1 can a day, then there's no need to get all hung up on the aspartame.

There's always Tony Little, that's who I use.

SO I'm trying to come up with ways to eat better, and I LOVE boneless skinless chicken breasts. I was thinking of maybe that with some Cauliflower of Carrots or some other vegetable. Question: I know it's not good to use too much oil to cook stuff like that and since I dont have a grill I was wondering what is the best/lowest fat oil to cook with?

You can bake it with no fat. All oils have the same fat content but the unsaturated ones are the healthier ones. Olive oil is a good oil to use.

I loves me some swarthy Eurotrash!

I find most of these exercise programs to be so bogus. Sure, the instructors usually have incredibly buff bodies. But how do you think they got that way? It certainly wasn't by using a step or a rubber band with handlles on it. They either a) used steroids b) spent hours/day every day at the gym lifting heavy iron. They are deceiving people into believing that they will have these heavenly bodies by following these easy 30-minute routines. Think about it- Tony Little didn't get those 20" guns by stretching some rubber bands.

The only ones I believe actually practiced what they preached are/were Richard Simmons and Denise Austin. Neither of them had extremely buffed physiques, but they looked like normal people with average body fat, which is essentially what you end up with when you don't workout intensely. I think even Jane Fonda (back in the day, of course) probably busted her hump in the gym with weights in addition to her aerobics.

Kathy Smith was (is? not sure if she's still in the game) really good. But her body was impossible, yeah, and she had to do way more than a video a few times a week to look like that. Not to mention implants. I had to stop doing videos because I would pick myself apart in comparison. Ugh.

Didn't she recently admit she was bulemic back then too?

I like Denise Austin too. Tamilee Webb was another one - never skinny skinny, always short, stocky & muscular.

Jane did admit that in her book. Great book BTW.

Of course he didn't, he's a body builder. I wouldn't expect to achieve the same look (thank god) but he is a good motivational trainer.

But see, that's the thing. Without saying it outright, the impression he gives off is that, by doing these exercises, you're going to get lean and bulging with muscles. False expectations! If Gilad gets those veiny rock-hard thighs by using that rubber step thing, then so will I! But the fact is, he probably squats hundreds of pounds on a Smith machine to get those thighs.

It's all very simple, really. In order to get results, you have to work hard. I mean hard. And it isn't just about reaching a point and staying there. You have to constantly try to push the outer limits of your stamina. It's not supposed to be pleasant or convenient. It has to be difficult or you're not working hard enough. It has to take all of your concentration and focus. I see people at the gym all the time, mostly women, who just go through the motions using 2.5lb dumbells, not even breaking a sweat. And I just wonder why people bother doing that. It's not really doing much to increase their strength or stamina. It's not really burning many calories. Maybe it's just the psychological satisfaction of saying "I was at the gym last night. I'll have two scoops of ice cream instead of one."

^ I know that by doing those workout tapes that you are not going to end up with a body like the instructor. I think that you would have to be pretty deluisonal to think that. I've been doing Carmen Electra's stripper pole exercises and I know for sure that I'm not going to end up looking like Carmen
