Bingo! I just called my cable supplier and they dropped it. They said that they are not told why, but that it is usually because of low ratings and supply and demand. So no more "Showbiz Tonite" at 11:00 p.m. to put me to sleep. That means no more A.J. Hammer

They also dropped the Speed Channel but they added two Classic Movie channels, so that's good.

i wish my cable company would drop the speed channel. i have to watch it every day at work. every.day.

You know, the first time I saw this episode was years and years ago, before internet, when I was still watching it on the BBC. The show came on rather late and I had school the next day, so I wasn't allowed to stay up and watch it. So I recorded it (on my Betamax!

) and got up an hour earlier in the morning to watch it before school. So there I was sitting at 5 am, watching Home, and I was scared crapless. When they pulled the mother from under the bed and she does her scary hissing thing, I actually screamed. Woke up the entire house. Ah...good times.

It's like Kleenex...it's really a brand name, but pretty much any tissue is now referred to as a Kleenex.

Dude, I was just thinking about this the other nite, how some products have such strong brand recognition their name eclipses the actual name, like Kleenex and Pampers.
