Kay Bailey Hutchinson is a barracuda, and so is Elizabeth Dole. They put on a phony-baloney facade, but underneath, they're eeeeeviiiiiiiiiiil personified. Typical southern-fried Baptist women.

I agree, but I do at least appreciate John Edwards' complete apology and admission that he was wrong. It doesn't excuse the vote but it shows some maturity. I personally plan to vote in the primary for someone who was against the war from the start, whether it's Obama, Al Gore if he gets in, or even Kucinich. That's my only true way of protesting.

Thing about Hillary, she absolutely can't backtrack at this point. She has been too supportive of the war. Instead of going back to 2002 and trying to say this or that, she should just say what she really feels. The only thing that would seem sincere coming from her is something like "I voted for the war and I still think it was the right vote at the time. But the war has been mismanaged, and here is my proposal for what to do starting right now."

I put them all in the same category. Like the other two - Hillary dresses to a T and lies through her teeth. But, to each their own

There's just something about a Southern accent that sounds so sinister to me, though.

That's interesting...can you share more? I do think Obama is the least experienced of the bunch, but I trust him more than all of them. I find him to always give clear answers, sometimes way more info than most people want.

Very, very bad answer from Hillary Clinton on whether or not homosexuality is immoral. I'm interested in seeing responses from other candidates:

Clinton Ducks Answer on Whether Homosexualty is ‘Immoral’

By Patrick Healy

Asked if she believed homosexuality was immoral, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton declined to answer the question in a television interview this morning and said it was for “others to conclude.”

General Peter Pace, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in a recent interview that he personally believed homosexuality was immoral and that this view was a factor in his opposition to gays serving openly in the military.

Mrs. Clinton, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, supports allowing gays to serve, which would amount to a change in her husband’s “don’t ask don’t tell” policy. She has also been aggressively courting gay voters and groups in recent weeks. Some gay groups have been critical of Mrs. Clinton’s refusal to support gay marriage, however, though she does support civil unions.

Asked on ABC News today if she agreed with General Pace’s view that homosexuality was immoral, Mrs. Clinton said: “Well I’m going to leave that to others to conclude.” She added, “I’m very proud of the gays and lesbians I know who perform work that is essential to our country, who want to serve their country and I want make sure they can.”

She's acting like a presidential candidate already.

Seriously, my first reaction was "She's such a bitch." She's definitely trying to play both sides of the fence, no matter what she really thinks. Will it backfire? Who knows? This is kind of a weird presidential race. For the first time, the Republicans don't look like they have a sure-fire win right off the bat. McCain is too old now, and I think is perceived as kind of unstable; Guiliani will be eaten alive over his affairs, marriages, and liberal social views; Mitt Romney is a Mormon, which will not go over well with the evangelical/fundamentalist Christian base, who view Mormons as non-Christians. I don't know a hell of a lot about Mike Huckabee, but I wonder if he's actually too reactionary to be electable, if that's possible. Then there's talk that Newt Gingrich might run, but I think he's even less electable, so...

I think Hillary will probably be the Democratic candidate; Obama is unelectable. I can see a Clinton/Edwards ticket, and of course I'd vote for it, but Hillary's love for the gays runs hot and cold, and we need to remember that she's not exactly our friend.

I'm going for William "KHAN!!!!! KHAN!!!!" Shatner in 2008 - More personality than Gore and a better actor than Clinton

Gee, the more I see who is running for the '2 party system' the more appreciative I am that I am an Independent.

Shatner/Fonzie in 2008..."Ayyyyyy!"
