Bring 'em on. I'm unarmed. Unless, like Quick-Draw McGraw, I have my gee-tar.

I have always hated this man but tonight I feel horrified and frightened that he is our "leader". We have Brownback on the right, Hillary in the middle, and Pelosi on the left telling him no way. What more needs to be done to stop this man?
You guys should read Matt Taibbi's latest column about the "surge" and how our forces are really used in Iraq. My friend currently in Iraq has said similar things to me, but has been wary to go into detail, given that he is communicating thru the military Net and all... I heard the same thing strand said - that 21,500 surge = 5,000 on the ground - somewhere last night. The whole thing is just astounding to me.

http://alternet.org/columnists/story/46535/

Excerpt:

The whole idea that "more troops" are needed in Iraq is absurd on its face. They sell this idea in America as though our soldiers are being sent to patrol the streets like New York City cops policing Malcolm X Boulevard on foot -- spreading goodwill, talking to shopkeepers, collaring the occasional fare-jumper, and scaring off the odd stick-up kid by their very presence.

That's not at all the way it works in Iraq. For one thing, the majority of the troops in a place like Baghdad never leave the massive, seemingly Manhattan-sized walled-in Forward Operating Bases (FOBs). Battle-hardened soldiers derisively describe army personnel who live in the FOBs as "Fobbits" and it is roundly accepted in Iraq that Fobbits make up a clear majority of our deployed military men. For soldiers who actually have to go out and risk getting blown up in patrols, Fobbits are a vile contagion, like malarial mosquitoes -- amazingly numerous and deeply annoying. One soldier laughed when I asked if he thought we needed more guys in Iraq. "Not more troops, but fewer Fobbit-mother****ers," he growled.

Nah, from a recent report I saw online the FBI will soon start making visits to those who deal in bootlegged music...Hmm, I guess I am more a threat to the US than the Shrub-tator is

We do have to put pressure on him, nobody wants this. I did sign that petition! I'm on TK's email list of course, being a Mass liberal and all.
I hate him. I have never felt this way about a political (gag) leader before. It makes me sick to know that our country is in his hands.

Hmmm...just think, without him or Cheney...who would be in charge? A woman...finally, we'd get our chance! Speaker Pelosi could be like President Ford...what a job she'd do!

We just need to leave now.Smirky's pathological xenophobia and total lack of understanding of culture over there has already cost us too much.I couldn't bare to look at the entire 20 minutes of his inane and insane mutterings last night.

This is a quote from Bush from June 28, 2005:

"Sending more Americans would undermine our strategy of encouraging Iraqis to take the lead in this fight. And sending more Americans would suggest that we intend to stay forever"
link

He has no credibility.

Apparently 50% of American voters forgot how long a second term could really be. I can't believe he's still president.
