An Idea For A Cool, Creative Change For The Ledge

Myself, as I am sure all of us do, love this message board. Now, this primarily is a message board where we discuss our favorite artists from the Mac and such. So I was thinking........

As is known, some threads that are created on this board recieve many, many views and comments and others recieve very few. So wouldn't it be kind of a cool creative idea to have a kind of grade scale to rank our threads, and since this is a music board, we could give out gold, platinum, multiplatinum and then diamond certifications.

I think this would be just a creative way to just recognize those threads that are popular with their peirs...... So my thinking is as follows. Here is the scale..

1. Gold Thread: 500 views and or 30 replies
2. Platinum Thread 1000 views and or 70 replies
3. Double Platinum Thread 1300 views and or 100 replies
4. Triple Platinum Thread 1650 views and or 125 replies
5. Multi Platinum Thread 1999 views and or 150 replies
6. Double Multi Platinum Thread 2500 views and or 185 replies
7. Triple Multi Platinum Thread 3000 views and or 225 replies
8. Diamond Thread 3500 views and or 260 replies


So, I just thought that this could be a cool and creative way to infuse all of our love of music into our daily board life. So, people in charge, take a look at this, and feel free to make comments and suggestions and things.

The numbers might need some tweeking, but I thought it could be a cool idea.

Well I think it would be better served in the Ledge Boards forum...but this is chit chat...so either way.

Yeah, although I think we could do it for the WHOLE board..... And under people's profiles it could say how many threads of each catagory they have started or whatnot..... We'll see what comes of this, I would really like to see it happen, and it's refreshing to see that it intrests you as well.

I mean that the initial post and idea pitch would be better IN that forum...not that your idea should be implemented in that forum.

Um. There is already a way to rate the threads. For instance. I just rated this one "terrible"....just as an example

Well, couldn't you ADD on perfection??? Honestly though, I just thought it was a cool idea since this is primarily a musical board.

Everyone else who posts regularly is happy with the way the boards are set up. Marty has done a hell of a job, and I honestly don't think a change like this is warranted.
