You wouldn't be able to miss her. She'd be the one in the handkerchief hem Burqa.

Maybe it was actually that Barbra J. Rose woman.

I don't know, I had the TV muted. Her name didn't appear on the closed-captioning.

I just haven't seen any "names" other than the ones that have already been mentioned in the press articles who attended that funeral and I find it odd that they haven't surfaced yet. I'm not saying she didn't but if Oprah Winfrey and Stevie were there I find it rather odd their names wouldn't have surfaced in an article about it yet or they wouldn't have been captured in a photo.

I don't question Stevie because multiple people saw here there, but Oprah I now am not so sure...since she just opened that school in South Africa. She would have had to have boarded a plane straight from Georgia to Africa last weekend! Highly unlikely...even for a jetsetter like her. So I've asked my friend to look at his pics again and ask everyone in the crowd with him.

as someone who works in tv news, i can tell you, there isn't the time, nor space, nor interest to mention every single celebrity who attends another celebrity's funeral. the biggies might get a nod. but that's about it. because, newsflash, it's not about them! i have not a doubt in the world stevie was there (not that i care a wit), or that many other celebs were, too. at the end of the day... james brown is dead. hundreds of people paid their respects - ordinary folks, musician types who knew him, some who didn't, his closest friends, his family.
