Exclamation Tech Question: How Do You Get Audio On A DVD So One Can Make A Music Video

Ok guys. I just found out about this contest on VH1 for songwriters. You have to send in a DVD of the song, most people are like, making a music video, with the audio of the song playing, and some other sort of video action going on. If you all have ever seen music videos, do you all know what I am talking about???

So my question is this, if I get the finished song on a c.d, how can I get that audio on a DVD and be able to record some sort of video action on top of that so the two play at the same time.......

You all, the help would be SOO greatly appreciated, and if I won, I would definately have to thank those of you who helped me out....... So pease do.

Thank Y'all,
Ethan

I'd imagine it'd be easier just to get some video-editing software and recording equipment first. Just play the song, record all the footage you'll need, edit it all together in the software and lay the audio track under it. Then burn it to DVD.

Yeah, I just don;t know what editing stuff I need. I know where I am getting the song recorded at and I think he might have an idea, but I won't be able to talk to him until Wednesday. Thanks for the tip though, I appreciate it.

Much Love,
Ethan

Ethan, what about Windows Movie Maker? It's not exactly top of the line, but... If you have XP, you can use it. http://www.download.com/3000-2194-10165075.html
