Burning a CD for my pals and realizing my music collection is horribly disorganized. There are cd's laying all over. The empty cases are mixed with the full cases. Alphabetizing went out the window. I have 20 or more never opened. Not enough storage racks. Something needs to be done.

I'm GREAT with putting away all the "store bought" CDs. It's all the downloaded ones, that don't have proper cases, that I'm a ****, for putting away. I mean, I'm a tightass, and buy blanks without cases! What am I supposed to do with all these? I have a bunch of the CD "books". They're all full. I've quit downloading music, for the most part, because I have more than I'll ever be able to listen to!

My room looks so much better without an LP rack on the floor and CDs clogging my desk! I actually organized everything alphabetically on one bookcase this summer. The other one is full of books. By now, it's all a mess like yours: CDs are out of cases, liner notes are in odd places, LP covers on top of the record player.

Seems like you're a pretty handy guy, Sparky. Would you have the time and/or resources to craft stuff with that new power drill and materials? One of these days I'll have to learn to do such things around the house. In boy scouts I learned the basics. Would have loved to stay in through Eagle Scout, but health issues made that impossible.

Anyway, I feel your "pain." Good luck. We both ought to resolve to clean out the musics by the end of '07!
Oh, I could build myself something, I just don't have the time. One of my best pals is a wood working wiz. I should have demanded a cabinet for Xmas.

I am watching the Kennedy Center honors show with Dolly from the other night and trying to figure out which of her shows to go to in February. And once again listening to the INSANE wind out there. We are having very strange weather.

^^

Yeah, I saw stuff about the winds on CNN...crazy stuff!!!

Right now I'm at work, gathering a host of weather related stories...since that's all that's in the news here today...no snow where I am yet, but it's already started falling in Denver and other parts of the state....
