Your New Year's resolution..??

^ Do you mean to say that it's harder to change your eating habits than it is to quit smoking? I've done both, and I think it's way harder to change your eating habits. Smoking is physically & mentally addictive, but it was actually pretty easy for me to stop (although those drunken cigs are becoming more & more frequent lately after 6&1/2 years...) But that's just one addiction, one habit to break.

To lose weight, you're changing everything - what you eat, what you drink, how you exercise, etc. We joke around about how "it's all about food" but really, it kind of is. We eat every day. It's up to you personally to make healthy choices & decide what & how you want to eat. I personally find that planning is key - you're much more apt to eat something healthy if you have it planned out, all ingredients readily available. Same with exercise - I just assume that I'm going to exercise every single day. If you're in a rush, or don't plan things out ahead of time, you may just grab junk food because it's fast & easy.

If you need come tips or moral support, David, you may want to look into The Biggest Loser Club. It's online, you sign up & they send you emails with real people's stories about how they're doing, healthy recipes, exercise tips, etc. I don't think it costs much. Good luck!




I don't really make resolutions. I am going to officially stop the drunken smoking (which end up being 3 or 4 cigs a month) because it's just stupid for me to do, and I notice that I'm starting to do it more & more. I also try to thank God every day for the life I have.
