Its kinda funny isnt it? I mean, Blazing Saddles, considered by many to be the funniest movie ever made, has the Burton Gilliam line "Dock that CH**K a days pay for nappin on the job." I mean we can laugh at that but not at Rosie? Although like I said earlier I just wish shed shut her hole for other reasons.

So, I get that the Jewish race/faith deserved to be there as well, but it is the taking of the land by some third party and giving it to them and kicking out the local people that just is wrong to me. None of us would like for the American Indians to do that to us and they have far more of a claim as this was 100% their land until we got here

Note - I am speaking conceptually and not against Israel per se as I do think Israel should exist. I just think the way they went about it is BS and was done totally to serve the interest of the west so they could place the boat people no one wanted.

Mary, this thing about the Jews not having a place of their own is something that I think about very much lately (for some unknown reason I am reading a lot of things on the Holocaust nowadays). However, I have to admit that I am not very familiar with the political aspects of this matter, so I don't have an actual opinion myself.

I just stated the obvious, the famous cliche "there are two sides to each story".

Jason, they have said they are willing. If they've responded militarily in the past its because they were attacked first. (even in the 6 days war, Egypt and Syria made their intentions clear by massing machines/airplanes/troops etc on the borders...Israel just beat them to the punch, and I say Good for Them). As for how Israel came into being in the first place, you have to remember that because of the Holocaust, the majority of the world felt that the Jews deserved a place of their own, and its my understanding that there was a general consensus (among the West at least) that Israel was the logical place for them to be. after all, Jerusalem was/is their capital. As for people displacing people it happens all the time, it happens even today and nobody likes it but its not like its unprecedented....

The West did not want them - The US actually turned them away. So, the West thought, screw the people there, we are the West and we don't want them and this is how it's going to be. I mean why not let them go there on their own? Why make a nation and piss everyone off for decades? But, they/we did and the price is still being paid.

Again, I would not like some foreign entity telling me to vacate my property for a bynch of boat people no one wanted - would you?

I don't have an opinion of Rosie one way or the other really. Don't watch the View, but I am concerned about Trump's comments. They are just hate-filled. He sounds like a 13 year old boy saying "You're ugly. You're stupid." etc. It's disgusting. He needs to grow up. I know she "started it", but be the bigger "man", dude.

As far as Miss USA goes, what did they think would happen to a girl form a one horse town who's suddenly transplanted into the luxuries of Manhattan? She's 20 for cripe's sake. I also think she is going to be terribly stigmatized by this rehab thing. I suppose they had to disclose that if they were going to keep her on though.
