Billy was in town tonight playing with some friends at a fundraiser at a coffee shop. I didn't see the show but did talk with him for quite awhile afterwards. What a very cool guy! Just like Bekka, you would swear we've known each other for years. I got him to sign my "Time" cd and "Bekka & Billy". I told him how "Time" was probably my fave FM cd and he gave me an almost surprised "really?".
I also had him sign my "Time" poster I had Bekka sign. As I unrolled it on the table, he thought it was so cool and asked where I had gotten it and were there more? He signed it and kept looking at the different pics (same as inside the cd cover), commenting he remembered that day exactly. We talked awhile about "Time" and Christine McVie, and I asked some of the stuff I had seen brought up around the boards. He said they were all there at the photo shoot together.... at John's house. He also said they all worked together in the studio, just that Christine didn't do the tour. I asked how he thought that line-up would have eventually done if they had stayed together. He said while they were promoting "Time" that there was already talk of the reunion. His exact words were, "so that poor little album never stood a chance". ![]() He was so gracious, giving me one of his picks even when I hadn't thought to ask... and told me he would be back in town next month with his rockabilly band. So I figure that will give me time to get my questions better worded. Suffice it to say, I could talk with him all weekend! I was literally beside myself... talking with a member of my all time fave band about my all time fave band. Merry Christmas, Me!! And Miss Vicky.... I told him about your new website and he was genuinely moved. He said BillyBurnette.net is about to come out but I told him this was Billy-Burnette.com (emphasizing the hyphen) and it was put together by a big time fan and was amazing. He asked me your name, etc but all I could think to tell him was that your address was on the site! But do know that he knows about it. ![]()
