Drinking coffee and watching SCTV. And wondering when I'm going to get around to cleaning Nelly's cage. I wish I could just train the beeyotch to do it herself.

Now I will need to hunt down the original version of "Killing is my Business...And Business is Good" since the recent remastered version has the Nancy Sinatra song "These Boots" in an edited form.

Edit: To keep this thread on track, just waiting for Deb to finish eating so we can go grocery shopping this evening.

Sitting at work, bored.
It's usually dead here at the library for the two weeks leading up to Christmas.

1) An announcement went out early this month that mine and a co-workers birthdays would be celebrated at our monthly staff meeting. This always means cake.

We didn't get any damn cake. We got a shoddy fruit and cheese platter and some stale crackers...and some left over juice and V8 was put out too

I felt totally gyped...and luckily wasn't the only one - the co-worker made a loud snarky comment about how she and I were going to buy a cupcake and sing happy birtday to each other....so I am so bitter that we didn't get a cake...everyone ELSE gets cake

2) We're doing a Secret Santa thing at work - one little gift every day, a bigger one on Friday.

I have gotten the dumbest and most thoughtless **** from my ss. I put all this time and effort into making my gifts cute and thoughtful etc....and I get crap in return. I know...that's so not the spirit...and I realize how petty I'm being....and it's better to give than receive blah blah blah whatever...I don't want crap.

I'm so not participating next year

Ok...those were the ridiculous reasons I was pissed off last night, all in all I just felt like ****...and I went to be so early and as a result of my negative focus I had the worst dreams....

*tries to shift attitude* I hope today is better.....

/vent.

So there ya go

NOw...SPILL!!!!

'man that totally sucks! you should eat your little cupcake right in front of them!!! I would mostly be mad if I were that girl!!! That would make me feel left out I didnt' get a cake from ANYONE on my birthday, so

and about the gifts-ITA. I feel like I am a very good gift giver. I put a lot of thought into it and it stresses me out when I don't find that "perfect" gift. I'm that way with cards too. I'll drive to another store if need be. THen I pick up the right one and I just...know.

I KNOW! I'm the same way...I was totally stressing about this stupid Secret Santa thing..wanting to get the best possible gifts for the price range....unfortunately it seems someone took the suggestion of "just go to the dollar store" seriously

But I feel better knowing that now I'm not the only one getting shafted

Now I'm doing this along with my air shift......and thinking of what to get for the stupid Secret Santa "grand finale" tomorrow....at least I'll get free lunch out of the deal!

Just the bar. The rest is for a volleyball tournament.
