Trying to convince myself that I really do have to get off my ass and clean cages and the litterbox.

I love my pets, but why do they have to **** so much?

with DishNetwork, there's multiple Discovery channels (Love DiscoveryTimes channel, they're doctumentaries on John Lennon's murder and 911 are must sees) along with multiple History channels (I love the "Doctumentary Channel"!!!)

Right now I'm waiting for the carpet cleaners to come and suck all the water that has flooded my apartment this morning

I woke up, got up and stepped in a puddle - good thing I didn't yell at Clancy (which was my first thought...) because I realized my whole carpet for a good stretch was drenched. DRENCHED...there's at least an inch of water in my bathroom - all from the damn apartment in back of me - something in there clogged and I get the mess....F*CK!!!!!!

Seriously....F*CK!!!!! I'm so not happy right now.

Believe me I want to - but asap is when my lease expires...and I can stick with it until then...barring any other floods or anything. And hopefully I won't have a nervous breakdown from all the constant noise from my upstairs neighbors and new next door neighbors with the rabid children.

my main goal though it to get into a cheaper place to live next year...so I can get serious about paying down some other stuff...

Yeah...yeah...my bath mats are ruined....can you wash and dry those in washers and dryers? I have no clue - but they were purple and so pretty...

And as luck would have it the actual apartment the leakage came from? Barely had any water in it at all...it was all in MINE!

On a positive note - it was a water line break - not a sewage backup...

Come this summer I'm going to look for a small two bedroom house in a nearby town

that's how it always works! bastards. in my last apartment, the ceiling above the shower was totally rotting and bulging ... i was always afraid it was going to cave in.

i think you can put bath mats in your washer/dryer ... do they have tags? that should tell you. did you have to pay for the carpet cleaners, or your landlord?

Yeah - I chose apartments that are relatively new and in good shape - but you can't control what other people do in theirs - so sh*t still happens...ugh.

They don't have tags - that's the first thing I checked - and I just now took a chance and threw them in the washer...I can air -dry them if need be - but at least running them in the washer will get rid of the excess water..I mean they were so incredibly soaked - like I said there was an inch or more of standing water in my bathroom this morning....

I don't have to pay for anything - and thankfully we have 24 hour maintenance - and they were way fast...I'm going to have to send them a fruitcake or something

NOW: Watching Titanic

Yeah - that's the one thing with this apartment - great maintenance staff and office staff and the manager lives in my building so that helps things a little bit.

Titanic..I own it After talking about it on here and reading about the goofs and trivia on IMDB I felt like watching it...but I feel a nap coming on so I probably won't get through it....
