Unhappy Husband of family found in car in Oregon dead

So the poor guy goes out and looks for help for his family and winds up dead. There is no justice it seems sometimes. This man was a TRUE hero. R.I.P James Kim.

I just read this. The rest of the family was found only a day or two ago. Tragic.

We,, amidst all the bull**** these days, even though the outcome wasnt what we probably all wanted, it still makes me feel good that people give a damn.

That's so sad. Did he just freeze to death?

They think hypothermia might have killed him possibly Saturday night. From what I understand it's quite humid at all times in that part of the country, and when the cold combines with that, it doesnt take long.

And it is good that his wife and daughters are alive and apparently doing well...

It's always tragic when one loses a family member, but it must seem doubly so when they're lost during this time of year

I guess one of the things they did to keep warm was to burn their tires. God the stench that must have created.

when i heard this today i almost cried, it's so awful for those poor little girls who don't have a father now. and i can't imagine how his wife must feel, to know that he was trying to save them all. if he had stayed with them, it would have turned out fine. such a horrible horrible tragedy.

That is so sad. When are people going to learn, that you don't take romote, snowy, winding roads, through the mountains in the middle of winter, with your family of two small children in a "car", not a 4 wheel drive SUV. Without the proper winter gear and emergency supplies. I know he took a wrong turn and apparently the map they had was old and the road was not marked as "closed in the winter" but wouldn't common sense tell you to turn around. I mean, he had a responsibility as a father I know we all make mistakes but this kind of thing has happened many, many times before. Don't people learn from other people's mistakes

I'm guessing because they were from San Francisco, they were just terribly unprepared? This is such a sad story to me- and this just killed me. So, so sad.
