That was hilarious Now I see what the tray was for. Poor Richard was trying to be so serious and Dave just waiting for that. Very funny. Thanks for the laugh.

^^

I was thinking the same thing. I thought it was funny - but then I was wondering if Richard is in on this joke....or is the poor guy actually trying to be serious and plug his product?

If it's the latter I actually feel really sorry for him....

Oh and I don't think he was in on the fire thing - that was obviously not something he was expecting.....

Ok..then that's just sad. Poor Richard Simmons...I mean I make fun of him as much as the next guy (see I don't wanna do thread) but damn...why make public appearances at all....well at least he seems to have a good sense of humor about it (sort of).

By the way - my mom LOVES Richard Simmons...when he was doing cruises her dream was to go on one

well, he's not really popular any more and he still has bills to pay (and a mom to support) so he does these appearances knowing he's going to be lambasted...I wouldnt wanna be him.....

ps: Im glad to hear (for his sake) that he still has fans (like your mom).

Good point...poor guy, I do think he has a really good heart. But yeah, guess the money from Sweatin' to the Oldies isn't pouring in like it used to...though my mom still does the tapes

She does love her Sweatin' to the Oldies...
