Prosthetics? Does Stevie have an extra appendage that Lindsay doesn't have?

The kinda neat thing is that although Stevie's look has changed over the years, she has not aged that much. If you strip away the layers of makeup and hair extensions, it's pretty much the same Stevie underneath, give or take 50 pounds or so. I don't think a fatsuit would be such a big deal to pull off.

Well history has already showed it, even if metaphorically.

You mean Lindsay Lohan could look like a forty years old, or even an almost sixty years old without the aid of a heavy makeup? She would barely look a thirty years old, I think.

the fact that the idea of a "fat suit" has even wedged itself into this discussion blows my mind.

also, I thought the movie is supposed to be based around FMac/Stevie at the height of their fame, so that would make Hohan pretty perfect in terms of age.

Come on, it's the ledge. That's par for the course.

You mean cutting Klonopin, Clinton and the Dance years? That would take out a lot of drama, and a typical Hollywood feelgood happy ending.

Then I stand corrected; I guess it was wishful thinking that the movie would have covered her Klonopin years, which would have definitely required a fatsuit. And as far as I am concerned, that would have been the most compelling part of any movie. But alas...

So no need to get our knickers in a bunch about the "f" word! Geez...

But the story doesn't really end there. That's just like a movie about Elvis's life ending in the early 1960's. Indeed, one could argue that the movie could be just about the arc of Stevie and Lindsey's + Stevie and Mick's relationship and breakup... but there was no clean, tragic end. Thirty years later they are still working together and are a part of each other's lives- for better or worse. That's the story of Stevie's life- the men who haunt her and the songs she has written about them.

I am exhausted reading through the mild hysteria throughout this thread and have nothing to add. But I do want to apologize to the person who first brought up the rumors that Lohan was involved in a project like this a few months ago when I was all "bull**** - no way".

Way.

Default On the News

On the CW 11 morning news out of NYC they just talked about Lindsay Lohan wanting to play Stevie. They pretty much just said the same thing we've already heard, that she'd like to play her and produce the movie. Also mentioned the Jared Leto thing. They showed a photo of Stevie next to Lindsay and the anchors both said they didn't look very much alike.

Bad news spreads fast...Rolling Stone mentioned this disaster also now.

I'm scared.

The Dj on my local radio station mentioned this too....
I'm sorry but I just can't see this girl playing Stevie...
I think Kate Hudson would do a much much better job and be more believable than Hohan

Eh. I don't really care. I'd see it, and undoubtedly bitch about it afterwards. I don't mind Lohan, but like Amber said, nothing will ever be good enough for most of us.

As long as they don't include Docklands, God's Garden or Silver Girl in the flick, I'll live.
