Are you refering to the "professional friend" Gail?
Does that woman not have a life (aka: pride) that she has to be forever known as "Oprah's friend"??

And people.... PLEASE.... let's not forget that during the "you too can have a talkshow era"....
Roseanne

Oh geez - but at least those shows stay on....though for the life of me I can't figure out why

I remember toward the end of Sally Jesse's run every damn show was exactly the same...they were all about wild teens...those shows are pretty much all the same...

I had completely forgotten about Roseanne

Megan Mullally also had a bit part on one episode of Frasier. The one where Frasier & Niles take those two ladies (one of them Megan) up to the cabin.

THere is just too much that I want to reply to in this thread...
first, any time ANYONE ever says the words.."CHEVY" "CHASE" I experience hysterical laughter, and NOT because he was a comedian.haha.
Second, GAIL, is the "professional friend*cough*lover*cough* allways amuses me . seriously, they are NOT kidding anyone.stedman, pu-leeze.
third, Megan not funny mullally was also on an episode of Third rock from the sun, and was hillarious. She even used a prototype of the now-pattented "karen" voice.
fourth, to whoever said she needs a stylist BAD was RIGHT!!!, SERIOUSLY, IVE NEVER SEEN SO MUCH SECCOND HAND POLYESTER IN MY LIFE.

I miss KAREN......

well, afterall, it is not the karen show. I haven't watched it but I would imagine if you were expecting Karen, it would be disappointing.

I'll probably lose my gay card over this, but I didn't find Karen to be funny after about 7-8 episodes. I've never seen the talk show. Megan is extremely talented though, I saw her perform with the Gay Men's Chorus (may I please have my card back) and she was great.

I LOVE Karen.

I saw Megan on a tribute to Reba and she sang "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun" and I expected Karen to slip in here and there...but it was really flat. I mean, she sounded good, but no chemistry...

I would, but I am not intersted in seeing Karen or Megan. I will take your word for it. I do wonder why she decided to do a talk show.

She probabally wanted to be more like chevey chase. I hear he's quite the trend setter.

RR disturbs me since I read the notes y'all wrote about meeting her and what a total be-yotch she is. ewwwww.....

And please, we can't leave out the classic late night talk show wannabees:
Alan Thicke
Arsenio Hall
Magic Johnson
Pat Sajak
and the aforementioned Chevy

Tony Danza should NEVER be allowed before a camera again EVER!
I love Martin Short.... but a talk show? .... not so much

I've always found her annoying, even on her three hundred food shows. She's a little more toned down on those ones, but why she even needs a talk show is beyond me. I can't believe they put her in Ellen's original timeslot! E should slap a ho for that one.

The character Karen was funny, but reminded me too much of my grandmother (the drinking, pill popping) so at the same time I was always a little put off by it. Never seen her talk show, but I don't own a TV.
