Ahem. First off SATC is popular beacuse it's f**king brilliant. No way is it in the same level of lame as the other shows listed in this thread...Lisa, you are officially evil

Oh - and what's all this about Gillian? I knew she had her baby - are you serious about paternaty test stuff??? FILL ME IN!!!

So was the CSM, and everyone loved him.

I just read it in the paper today. There was a little snippet in the entertainment section about Julianne wanting a test.

At one time or another, I've liked most of the sitcoms people have blasted in this thread.

I think we all need some silly, escapist laughs once in a while.

That's the funny thing - I used to totally watch most of these!! With the exception of Family Matters and Martin which I hated. But other than that? I'm totally guilty of watching (even now) re-runs of Full House and the like...but even though I watch - I can still see and laugh about how truly bad these shows are

Oh, yeah... they're definitely not rocket science. I think that's what I like about them though. No matter what is weighing on me, I can turn on a dumb sitcom and just forget things for half an hour. Mind you, there are some shows that are even too dumb for me to find an appreciation for!

And I couldn't stand 'Martin' either. Ugh. One of the worst sitcoms ever, IMO.

Oh yeah...I sat and watched an hour of Saved By the Bell recently..the show is crap - but I enjoyed myself - it brought back memories and well - it's mindless entertainment.

Full House is another - it's so cheesy and stupid - yet I enjoy watching it

ITA.... last night I caught myself actually watching a rerun of Growing Pains! Suffice it to say, there was NOTHING else on.

It was also the episode with Dana Plato doing the "Madonna" character trying to seduce Mike. Let's see.... years later he's "born again" and she's been dead for years. yikes.....
For some reason, I also found her "Madonna-wannabee" MUCH more entertaining than that debacle NBC was showing. I'm sure Madonna fans loved it but ......

For the record -- King of Kensington. What's the deal? I find myself watching it every day, and it was a hell of a lot funnier when I was younger. It's lame, unless it's an episode with Gwen.
