Default HOW was that show popular??

I love the tv threads that take on a life of their own.

I was all ready to watch my nightly 25+ yr old rerun of "Charlie's Angels" tonight when SUDDENLY my new nightly viewing habit has been exchanged for reruns of "Growing Pains"!! WTF!!

Growing Pains?? WHY was that show so popular and on as long as it was?
Was it like part of the "Diff'rent Strokes", "Facts of Life" trilogy or something??

And WHY does everybody know who was on Saved By The Bell?

LOL! I noticed that too when I was flipping channels tonight. I haven't seem Growing Pains in awhile. I didn't watch it tonight either. Did they give you any warning at least that they were changing from Charlie's Angels to Growing Pains?

I LOVED Growing Pains

How was it different? It wasn't lol...

I was watching reruns of Full House at the gym this morning (someone else put it on) and wondered the same thing, "how the hell was this show popular!?!" I used to watch it, now I can't figure out why - it's SO bad

Not that I caught.... which doesn't really say much...
But can you IMAGINE my culture shock?

Full House? Holy cow... that is the mystery of the tv universe!
I never got Home Improvement either.... Tim Allen is SO irritating.

God I LOVED TGIF...except for Family Matters...others that I loved then but find endlessly cheesy and/or bad now:

Just the Ten of Us
Mr. Belvedere
Perfect Strangers

Growing Pains and Full House have already been mentioned

Don't worry... the i Network is just doing a two-week "teaser preview" of 'Growing Pains,' which will become a regular part of their daily lineup sometime in early 2007.

'Charlie's Angels' will be back in its regular timeslot on December 4th.
In the meantime, there's a 5-hour 'Angels' marathon this Friday, November 24th, from 6pm (EST) to 11pm.

NO JOKE!!
Nothing like turning on the tv to hear some body piss and moan about everything....
I can turn on the news and see that.

And if anyone figures out HOW and WHY Jim Belushi has a "hit" show, please share with the rest of us.
And if anyone can figure out the appeal of Charlie Sheen.... ewwww....
