Oh great update! I hope he has a very good night tonight and gets stronger and stronger so the bloodtest tomorrow will not bother him so much!

All good wishes coming both your ways!

I'm sending thoughts of a healing white light to Banjo.

Thanks again for the good luck. I appreciate it.

Banjo is a Pacific Parrotlet. Tomorrow is his hatchday. He'll be 8 years old. That's about middle age for him.

Here he is a few years ago. Hangin on the dining room table.

He doesn't hug too well, but he will sit in my hand and loves to have his beak rubbed and his head scratched.

The thing on his leg is a breeder band. It's like an identity bracelet. If he ever got lost, they could find his breeder and me.

^ Seriously adorable bird! You're lucky he sits still for the camera. Mine is scared ****less, so I thank god for the zoom feature.

Just to update, Banjo has perked up. He's eating, drinking, and grooming again. Plus he went nuts peeping when I got back from work. It's been days since I heard that. I had to leave for 3 hours. Now I have another 3 hour meeting. When I get back I can give him his shots. Right now he is eating bread and soaking up the heat lamp.

I know how worrisome it is when birds stop chirping. When Nelly was under the weather before I got her another dosage of meds, she didn't chirp much, not even at music she liked, and I hated it. She went for days like that, it drove me nuts. How is it giving Banjo his shots?? I couldn't imagine my bird putting up with that.
