Exclamation Time Magazine Top 100 All Time Albums

http://www.time.com/time/2006/100albums/index.html

The All-TIME 100 Albums

By JOSH TYRANGIEL AND ALAN LIGHT Published: Monday, November 13, 2006

So here's how we chose the albums for the All-TIME 100. We researched and listened and agonized until we had a list of the greatest and most influential records ever - and then everyone complained because there was no Pink Floyd on it. And that's exactly how it should be. We hope you'll treat the All-TIME 100 as a great musical parlor game. Read and listen to the arguments for the selections, then tell us what we missed or got wrong. Or even possibly what we got right.

No "Court & Spark"??
I can't put that cd in my player without admitting to myself it's in there for awhile!

These polls are hilarious!
It's like they ask around the office for everyone to just name some albums... and give us something to work with.
Sure they are incredibly subjective.... but they are great for discussion.

From the looks of this, Time magazine likes to hire itself some potheads to put these lists together.

Now, now...Even potheads have their standard's.

I find it plain dumb that they left off Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" & "The Wall", Along with GNR's "Appetite for Destruction".

Dumb...Plain ol' dumb.

Led Zeppelin should have a lot more mentions than Zoso. And leaving Pink Floyd off is just plain stupid. Pretty lame list, IMO.

Yikes. We were posting at the same time and our Pink Floyd remarks are very similar. I agree Appetite For Destruction should definitely be on there as well.

There are too many anthologies listed in the 2000's, and Nick Cave's "No More Shall We Part" should be in there too.

I am so glad to see Master of Puppets, It Takes a Nation of Millions, and Back in Black in the 80's list. I'm quite certain that Master of Puppets is one of the best albums ever released, of all time.

And of course Rumours is in the top albums of the 70's, and of course I agree with that .

The can overlook their leaving Floyd out because Black Sabbath are there! I didn't expect to see them there because they are usually ignored or viewed as "beneath" polls like this outside Metal magazines.

Never liked Pink Floyd, so I'm not shedding tears for that one.

Except for the proliferation of Beatles albums, it's not horrible. I'm glad to see they actually included some black people, since these lists seem to almost exclusively focus on white rock. And Miles Davis is on there not once, but twice.
