I always heard "Long nets of wine cloud my memory", instead of:"Long nets of white cloud my memory". I was like:"What the hell is a long net of wine???" but it made sense because I thought she wrote the song after rehab so her memory was clouded by "long nets of wine".

Another one is "I never doubted your beauty, I'm chained".

"Wait a minute, baby, stay with me a while, said you give me light but you never told me about the higher.....".

And then Peg's (my g/f) all time favorite (she teases me relentlessly with it: I def. heard Stevie sing "Just like the Worthington" instead of "Just like the white winged dove". And I actually said that to her when I met her in France in '81. You should've seen her face...... and you should've seen mine when I saw the correct lyrics..... ahem

I used to sing "Moments in wine cloud my memory" instead of "Long nets..."

To me, 'Moments in Wine' sounds more like something that would cloud her memory. Oh, that and the 9,987,176 Klonopins she was poppin' daily back then.

I just learned of a few misheard lyrics for me

they are not big ones but....

in rock a little

correct: she's home now, and she says I've gone far beyond that song
Me:she's gone now...etc.

also on nightbird

correct: some circles around my eyes
I thought she said "same circles"
