Moe's is awesome.

haven't eaten there in forever.

Texas Roadhouse, hands down the best chain restaurant because:
  • They make their rolls fresh and put cinnamon butter on them.
  • Their house salad comes with egg and cheese on it. Plus the croutons are made on the premesis.
  • You can get a mouth watering fillet for $15! With 2 sides! The prices are amazing because they have their own cows.
  • The atmosphere is fun and I've come to be able to pleasantly tolerate country music and some of it I really like. (Ducks falling sky)
  • Last but not least, they have fantastic margaritas.

trying Texas Roadhouse, but they dont open til 4PM in OKC, and are always packed when they open.

Still may try one of the OKC locations one of these days.

Oh, I left off Red Robin from my 'like' list above, Great burgers & great service!!!

Ya gotta try 'em, they also have good service. They have peanuts too. Maybe they have call ahead service so you can get on the waiting list to be seated?

I hate peanuts, Mainly because this is peanut season and as the crops are brought in here in 'Hellhole' the peanut dust is clouding the sky and making my asthmatic wife short of breath (It affects me too, but Deb is worse.)

No, they dont have a call-ahead service at the OKC locations (We called about that awhile back), it's just we are never near one at around 4PM when they open.

But there is hope, since a newer location off I-40 seems less packed in the evening than all the other locations (We're planning to hit it on the next trip to 'the City')

Cool. The peanuts are everywhere so I hope that doesn't bother you if you go.

but Deb loves peanut-butter (It's just the dust we have a problem with-That crap is thick at night)

I just don't eat 'em as often as I did as a kid (Except for when I eat M&M's-I can only tolerate the peanut M&M's) kinda got burned out on 'em since they're easily available in this town.

Ok, so if a local place has two locations, can we call it a "chain"?
If so, then "Tom's Place"...it is one of those "middle ground" places...it is a great "sit down" place (with an awesome salad bar) AND it has a drive-thru, too. Two SoCal locations...one in Anaheim, one in Placentia...both close to my house. They market themselves as "Gourmet Fast Food".

And, a "local" pizzaria chain with 5 Orange County locations...Zito's Pizza. Once I found them, my search for the "Holy Grail" of pizzas ended. BUT, not all locations have the stationary ovens...a couple of them have those idiotic "conveyor ovens". How Pizza Hut of them!

Faves (in no order, starting with the fast-food ones):
Del Taco
Taco Bell
Rubio's
Baja Fresh
Quizno's
Arby's
The Green Burrito
Chipotle
Panda Express
Baskin/Robbins
Dairy Queen
KFC
Jack-In-The-Box
In-N-Out Burger
Original Tommy's
Fatburger
Wendy's

and, in extremely rare cases (I'm trying to wean myself off of them; but sometimes, they're just too f***ing convenient):
McDonald's
Burger King
Carl's Jr.

(now onto the "sit downs")
Todai (AWESOME Japanese/Sushi buffet!)
Claim Jumper
Chili's (well...DUH!!!!)
PF Chang's
Outback
California Pizza Kitchen
Islands
Johnny Reb's (this may be considered "Local", but they have 4 locations...it's one of those "p-nut shell on the floor" Southern-style cuisine)
Daphne's Greek Cuisine
Stuart Anderson's Black Angus
Applebee's
Red Robin
Olive Garden
Hometown Buffet (I love buffets...way too much)

VERY, VERY rare occasions:
Red Lobster (usually, we prefer to frequent local seafood restaurants)
Denny's
Norm's
Spires

Brian, there's a Fazoli's near my house, but I've yet to try it. Thanks for the recommendation.

I've never hear of Texas Roadhouse. I don't think we have one in Dallas. Sounds pretty good though. My partner works for TGIFriday's corporate offices and we can eat there for half price anytime. I love the Jack Daniel's items. Other than that it gets old.

Probably my favorite chain restaurant is the Macaroni Grille because of that delicious loaf of bread they give you with olive oil. Mouth-watering!! I could eat that all day.

Favorite fast-food is probably Taco Bell because it's cheap, tasty and makes real Mexican food seem healthy. Sometimes I actually start jonesing for a crispy taco with stringy lettuce and cheese that falls apart after a single bite. And the bean burrito is surprisingly delicous and goes down easily despite the way it looks.

Good cuz it's one of those places where the peanut husks get thrown on the floor but it isn't really dusty.

Fazoli's is great. Their 6 layer lasagna is great, as is the turkey panini sandwich & the classic platter.

Another restaurant that opened recently in the OKC metro, it "Steaks & Shakes", which my sister (A CA resident) recommended, so we ate there. Great old-fashioned burgers & fries in a retro setting. I'm not much of a desert person, but their milk-shakes are pretty damned good. (We just noticed another one has opened in Midwest City after driving my sister to the airport last Saturday for her trip home.)

Macaroni Grille? There's a few in 'the City', and we have thought of stopping there one day to try 'em out.
