Why? I'm curious...One day she's in the band, the next she's not. No real explanation other than she basically couldn't handle it, right?

I loved the song.... it's based a great writing from Mother Teresa.

"In the Final Analysis"

by Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered...
forgive them anyway

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives...
be kind anyway

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies...
succeed anyway

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you...
be honest and frank anyway

What you may spend years building, someone may destroy overnight...
build anyway

If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous...
be happy anyway

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow...
do good anyway

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough...
give the world the best you have anyway

You see, in the final analysis, it's all between you and God...
it was never between you and them anyway

it was a bit on the tacky side, especially the whole "______ anyway" parts, but I think her voice carried it well. besides, it is country music we're talking about here.

I found this. her "official" reason.

"The requirements of performing on the road do not allow time to focus on relationships with other writers and recording artists essential for me to do what I do best — songwriting."That said, I am incredibly appreciative and indebted to (lead singer) Jennifer (Nettles) and Kristian (Bush) for all the hard work and talent they brought to this band, which has resulted in such great success for us all. We plan to support each other whole heartedly into the future."

now, what's the real reason PsychCat?

Discussing this with a friend who has covered Music Row here in Nashville for years.... undoubtedly it has to do with her being so openly gay.
Believe it or not, Country Music still ain't comfy with them gays!!
Yeah... I know... hard to believe!

Kristin has always been open about her sexuality and her friendship with the Indigo Girls and their "crowd". She even used to be a roadie for them way back in the day. It was starting to get around on Music Row and evidently Ms. Kristin wasn't willing to play the "role" and instead opted to be herself. GOOD FOR HER!!
It's refreshing to see someone not sell their soul and identity to that industry... for a change.

Wow Why am I surprised at this? I shouldn't be. What a shame.

I hate country music. It's a f**ken pig.

that's really interesting. horrible and sad, but interesting.

I am curious though because I know that Curb Records (a big one in country music, if I'm not mistaken) is pushing Nemesis and is totally behind them. Nemesis is the twin brother gay duo. I even saw Mike Curb talk about how he is 100% behind them and hope people judge them by their music.

oh well...I think it makes the remaining members look like asses. I hate that Jennifer girl anyway. if that were my friend and bandmate, I wouldn't just let her leave. but that's just me.

I thought that was his name. The blonde has a good body, but the hair is not cutting it, and his face....there is something unattractive with that....plus his bf is fetch.

I'm sure they are pushing 30....
